  4. In spite of crouching at the sofa or gazing at the PC it is sometimes a better therapy to go out and try to catch a few frames in the darkness. I started late afternoon just before the heavy darkness to settle in. Leica Q
  5. Hi all! I just released a small guide to the settings I use mainly for concerts. My goal were high contrast black&white pictures straight out of the camera. Enjoy: http://mennigmann.com/photo/2016/01/d-lux-old-school-bw-photography-settings-guide/ Comments appreciated! Best, Marc
  6. Hallo Forum! Enjoy - in English: http://mennigmann.com/photo/2016/01/d-lux-old-school-bw-photography-settings-guide/ Gruß, Marc
  7. The winter sun is known to be very low. Long shadows are being cast on the pathway. Leica Q
  8. I love taking random street photographs especially in black and white... Camera: Leica M-P (typ 240) Lens: Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH. Location: Wien
  9. See and press the shutter, that is how it goes. These two guys were enjoying the early october morning air: sunny and crisp, running through golden light. But I think one can feel this also in bw and more of being in harmony with nature. Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron 43 mm
  10. This is part 2 of my bw series. Sometimes bw is "color" enough. The rich shade of monochrome tones is amnifold and exciting enough. Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron 43 mm
  11. You can spend hours on a beach of that Westcoast California. It is full of surprises and strange life. Lots of seashells on the rocks, seaweeds etc. They all hope for a major tide and wave come in to provide them with a watershower. Starfish, cormorans, pelicans, seal, otter, all come into the inviting coves and small bays. X1

  13. here are juxtapositions. I was fascinated by the silky texture of the petals and the charming blossoms. All with Olympus OMD EM 5 + Nocticron
  14. These days are cool and wet. sometimes in the evening there is a short moment of lovely light between two rainshowers. Olympus OMD EM 5 with Nocticron
  15. When being in Prague, the synagogues and the central Jewish Cemetery are well worth being payed a visit. Interesting and full of emotions these places are. I saw this man sitting there and a moment of thoughtful meditation was felt being spread over the place. Olympus EM5 with Nocticron
  16. Visiting Prague means a great variety of cultural input. You can spend every night there in jazzclub, blues bar, etc. Usually you get to hear high quality stuff. We were lucky and enjoyed a night listening to a piano trio. The acoustics down in that cellar from a building of the middle ages were breathtaking. Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron the pianist
  17. Prague is famous for its hundreds of towers. We already know some of them. The tower of St.Niklas Church on the Mala Strana is worth climbing. It is also a museum because it shows the room and working place of a man watching the city and giving alarm when a fire is being detected. Then the bdell had to give a warning sound. when climbing the narrow wooden staircase I was reminded of those scenes from Friedrich Murnau's movie "Faust". A kind of time machine is working its magic. It was quite dark and so the pictures have also this grainy impact of a historic film atmopshere. Olympus EM 5 with Summilux 15 mm

  19. Hallo!
  20. Leica M7, Summilux 50/1.4 pre-asph, Ilford HP5+
