Hi all! I just released a small guide to the settings I use mainly for concerts. My goal were high contrast black&white pictures straight out of the camera. Enjoy: http://mennigmann.com/photo/2016/01/d-lux-old-school-bw-photography-settings-guide/ Comments appreciated! Best, Marc

Hallo Forum! Enjoy - in English: http://mennigmann.com/photo/2016/01/d-lux-old-school-bw-photography-settings-guide/ Gruß, Marc

Still playing around with Canon LTM 50 f1/2 lens on my M9. Not super sharp, but I do like the shallow depth of field. Saludos, S

Hey guys! I just developed my first film at home. Tri X 400 at 1600. Shot on my M6 with a 35 Summicron and Yellow Filter. This is my go to setup. Today I tried do develop my first role at home with the following recipe: -18:30 in Rodinal 1+50 at 19°C/68°F -Agitate 30 seconds initially, then 2 inversions every 2 minutes -Rinse/stop with 19°C/68°F water for 1 minute -Adox Adofix 1+9 fixer for 4.5 minutes -1 min wash -Adox Adoflo 35 seconds with distilled water -hang to dry Bye the way, I know Rodinal is probably the most inappropriate developer one can use for pushing tri x at 1600. Here ist the outcome. Strange streaks all over the negatives.. So much grain and a strange tone curve. Any ideas what caused this problem?

Film noob here. I've only shot digital so far and this is my first roll of developed negatives. I used Tri-X 400 in my M6, developed in New55 Monobath and scanned with a flatbed scanner; Canon 9000F II. I'm just not happy. I think (though I don't know) that it's a combination of lots of grain but mostly the scan is just "not quite sharp" not quite in focus. I scanned both using the film holders, and then going against the glass, and got better results against the glass with no holder. I'm also guessing that the Monobath developing is pretty grain-enhancing....true? In any case, here is a shot from my first roll. Any comments and suggestions to guide me are more than welcome.

For some reason, after setting jpeg saturation settings to monochrome on my Q, it's not coming up on the Live View/EVF in b/w. Just color. After a capture, it is b/w on display. This was not the case until now. Not sure why. I have tried this with removing/reinserting the battery in case it's that ol' fix-a-bug gestalt. Did not work. Changed focus settings -as I read this may happen on tracking focus - never use it - just normal single point -- and again, only color. ISO at 3200. Any ideas?

I have just posted a new blog post at https://gerrywalden.wordpress.com/2016/09/05/just-one-roll-of-film/ which sabot a roll of film I shot in 2003 using a Leica M6 and (I think) a Summicron f2. It features 9 images in mono of a Mela in Southampton. Please take a look. Gerry

Kushinagar - India, Paranirvana Stupa, which commemorates the place where Buddha Shakyamuni died. Families come to cover the lying Buddha with robes. This was one of those circumstances where I felt compelled to lower the camera and just live in the moment. Leica CL + 18-56
