L1036193 / Saarbrücken 2017 by Mark Volz, auf Flickr Liebe Grüße, Mark

Another from my walk last week. Taken with the M4-P and 35mm Summarit f2.5 lens and shown full frame. Film was Ilford HP5+ developed in Tetenal Paranol S, and then post-processed in LR Classic. Whilst the developer will not be my future choice, it can yield some good results if you are able to control the grain. Certainly the tonal range is good. Gerry

I'm in the middle of working on a Street Photography project using the Leica SL and have been doing some work in London with the new 90mm Summicron L. I'm finding the contrast between using other gear, perhaps more often chosen for Street work, a very interesting challenge. The extra weight and bulk of the SL is handsomely balanced by the whole SL experience and the new 90mm f2 lens is a joy, although the focussing is much slower than I'm accustomed to and means you have to work a bit slower and more methodically in the Street, where speed is often a challenge. I'm again very impressed with the SL having set it aside in favour of the M10 until recently. It's easy to overlook the qualities it offers and the images are second to none. This shot is an example - only 20% of the original frame. Shot at f4 1/500s ISO 125. Is anyone else here working with the new 90mm on the SL. If so how are you finding it in your work? Mike

Transportation Walk, the pathway right next to the DOT headquarters in SE DC. It features a few installations like this one, that highlight different transportation-related items. This is my favorite, a collection of vintage bicycles from the 1930's. It's amazing to me how little noise the M10 produces, even at ISO6400, which is where I was shooting due to lateness of the hour. This picture is almost magical to me.© CLK Photography
