mushrooms are there in numbers and manifold varieties. One has to step carefully not to smash them while ploughing with a heavy bag and tripod through the forest paths. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit macro 60mm + Leica APO2x converter.

an early october morning walk in a local beech forest. One can walk along a brook and roaming freely wherever one likes. Thanks for crossing the bridges. Elmarit R- 60 mm both pictures taken with the Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit R-lenses Elmarit R- 35 mm

the first cold mornings when a slight night frost has settled is inviting for an inspection tour. Still there were many leaves on the beech trees in early november Enjoy the golden mornings - now scenery has changed into a grey, misty and monochrome character. There much work is lying in front of us. Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit 90mm and 60 mm Elmarit R-90mm Elmarit R-60mm macro

these are the first winter days in this region and searching for a scenery of light snow and mist I kept roaming for a while and further up the hills a quiet deserted scenery was unfolding. Light was already fading a bit and a light drizzling started. Canon 5D MKII and my favourite R-Elmarit 60mm lens was mounted. Exposure with my favourite aperture 5.6 for these low light cases and 1/15 sec ISO 200 + polarizer.

we entered a nearby forest which we wanted to explore. We did not cover much but had to start being very busy to catch the last sunrays. Canon 5D MKII+ Elmarit R 35 mm, tripod, polarizer, longtime shutterspeed

these are from my visit to a nearby forest. In spite of being perfumed we we under attack of midges living on a close cow meadow. We thought it woud be dark soon, so the dark side of the forest had its showdown. Light was fading quickly here. All with Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit R 60 mm macro on tripod.

my favourite newly discovered forest unfolds its magic by and by. Every time I go thee it offers something new. Canon 5D MKII and my favourite Elmarit R 60 mm macro lens + polarizer

Last weekend there was much fog and the right weather to get some impressions of the strange forrest atmosphere. I am afraid the scaled down size is not showing as much details a it should but you can have a look. all with Canon 5D MKii and Elmarit R 60mm + APO Converter 2x

These days there are still leaves on the beech trees and the light can give a moment of magic. One has to be quick because the magic vanishes soon. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit 60 mm macro + polarisation filter I am afraid the macro lost very much while scaling it down for the forum size. Nevertheless one can have a glimpse of the impression of the original. I used the 2xApo converter, and stacked 2 versions of different shutterspeed.

these are from my walk in the evening atmosphere of our deep Teutoburger Wald Forest. It was almost dusk then. Therefore all pictures are longtime exposures (approx 20-25 secs). This is why you might discover some faint blur in the foliage. A slight movement of it is always there. All with Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit 60 mm macro plus Leica Apo Converter 2x,

Yesterday was a cold, wet and stormy day. What else can one do than looking what's up in the forest. Nobody else thought this being a good idea but I had to go, if you know what I mean. X1 Olympus OMD EM5 Leica/Panasonic Nocticron Olympus OMD EM% Leica/Panasonic Nocticron X1 X1

we have very calm days here with sunny weather and mild temperatures. No rain is tearing off the last leaves. So I could continue with my forest series and a few experiments with infrared. we've had a couple of warm days and nature leapt forward to unfold its beauty. I am trying to capture the feeling when you discover everywhere something new. Canon 5 D MKII with R Elmarit 28 mm + polarisation filter + ND graded filter

These last days were rainy, overcast and cold. To get my fill of fresh air after office I snatched my combo Olympus EM5 + Nocticron (Panasonic-Leica). Our Botanical garden is a rich field of experimentation and new discoveries. This time I discovered a part where trees, rhododendron and fern are forming a kind of jungle of exotic character.
