1. As part of my PAD Project, and for Father's Day I went down to a favorite pier to take a shot of a Seagull for my Dad. He was a big fan of the beach and one of his favorite books was "Jonathan Livingston Seagull." He passed away in 2001. Quote from the book: "We can lift ourselves out of ignorance, we can find ourselves as creatures of excellence and intelligence and skill. We can be free! We can learn to fly!" Titled: "Farther" M8 + 50mm f/2 Summitar Thanks for looking!
2. We are more than fortunate to be living by the sea. Several days ago a good friend and I went out on our weekly photoshoot. The air was clear, the wind was up... just beautiful. Our beaches here are wild with little development. Some surfers were out, although the wind was on the swell making conditions less than ideal. I wanted to exercise my 35mm lens, as usually I leave it in the bag in favor of the 50mm. We had a productive morning out. Thanks for looking. M8 CV 35 f 1.2. Earlier in the morning the sky was a waffle pattern with streaks of yellow. This image is of the calmer south facing Bay of Anasco. Later, we went over to the northern or Atlantic facing beach. The last venue was at Domes beach with a clear view of the Lighthouse "El Faro"

6. You can spend hours on a beach of that Westcoast California. It is full of surprises and strange life. Lots of seashells on the rocks, seaweeds etc. They all hope for a major tide and wave come in to provide them with a watershower. Starfish, cormorans, pelicans, seal, otter, all come into the inviting coves and small bays. X1

8. This beach belonged to a lighthouse where we stayed overnight. So it was a priviledged private place. I took my breakfast there on that lovely morning. I left my heavy bulk in the room and had only my X1. I am still very happy with the results of this little camera. panorama being stitched from 4 vertical pictures
