or more probably M8 and Telyt-V 6.8/400 with Visoflex III

Leica Standard+Visoflex1+extension tube+lenshead off 1949 135mm f4.5 Hektor.

3 seconds at f16 on HP5 in Rodinal, scanned from darkroom print. (Watermark on the right is from condensation under the glass on the scanner, not sure how to get to it to clean it).

In hindsight, a computer screen is not the most perfect light source, so maybe better in B&W.

I received my Visoflex III this morning - mounted on my M9 and rushed into the garden.

Here is my fist attempt - at the bottom of the learning curve - feedback welcome.

Looks very nice! Which lens or lens head did you use on the Visoflex?

Have a Visoflex question, I bought a 400 f5.6, and a Viso 2 because I didn't know infinity is variable on a Televit. I use the lens mostly with my CL, but just started to work with it on my M3, interesting. Then I tried to fit it on my M8 and I couldn't get the eyepiece on. I noticed a lot of digital Ms in this thread, is this an M8 variation or does the Viso3 work with the digital Ms while the Viso 2 can't?

Thanks Lex.

The shot was taken with a Canon LTM 135mm f3.5.

The two shots below were taken with the Leica Tele-Elmarit M 90mm mounted on the Visoflex

M Leicas including the M6TTL and later (and maybe the M5) were all slightly taller that the earlier M cameras. This required a revision of the visoflexes – the upshot being that the Visoflex II doe not fit onto an M6TTL or later camera. The Visoflex III does fit. Mainly, for purposes of this conversation, the prism is different.

This is all too bad since the prism on the Visoflex II is nicer – the eye piece is adjustable, whereas the Visoflex III prism requires eye piece correction lenses (which are very difficult to find, and then worse to determine which one you need).

FWIW, the Visoflex III works on all M cameras.
