At times, one really resents to leave out images when editing for a project. This is one of those which didn't fit (this project is still a year away from publishing, so still has a late minute chance). S3, Summarit S70, stitched panorama with verticals.

S006 + 120-APO (ISO 200, f4.8, 1/125th).  I did nothing except open in Lightroom. I have a dozen beautiful shots of this car.

Dear Administrator, Please remove this post if inappropriate or move to a more adequate section

I just wanted to let you know that my second book and third major project, (the initial one, Northern Lights was exhibited extensively but not published), River, has just been published in Spain

River is a landscape documentary project. It focuses on the “wrong” side of the Thames river, between London’s East End and the Estuary.

Albeit at places it has great beauty, the river east of London is a neglected area,  and there’s the implication that the people who populate it are too.
Whilst the presence of people in the photographs is circumstantial and occasional,  I believe that by depicting their world I am adding insight to their lives, which are often in the lower echelons of society and sometimes right at its margins.
By extension, River it is about the edgelands of all rich cities and about those who don’t qualify to “belong”.

Of interest for this group, the whole project was shot with Leica gear (an M9p with a 50 mm Summicron lens, and some images scheduled to be exhibited were shot later on with an S2

River should be sold out throughout the scheduled book presentations in the next month or so, but if someone has an interest, I can provide the publisher’s website address.  Some images of River st on my website, under Projects, and a video of the book will be uploaded shortly.

Thanks in advance.

Certainly museum quality. The filmic quality puts this squarely in space and time with its subject. A spectacular rendering!

Beautiful shot, and shows why the S renders better than any other FF or MF digital camera.
