    The Copiest

I took this in the Louvre in Paris in 2002. I have just scanned it to add it to my archive. The camera was certainly the M6 and probably the lens was the 35mm Summicron I had back then. It was taken on Agfa Vista 800 colour film, which I have no rational explanation for now because I can't imagine me ever using it. The grain is pretty big, but through judicious use of LRCC I think I have gotten away with it at this size, or at least I hope so! I do like the result. Gerry

  9. I'm delight to announce the publication of my monograph Metro: Scenes from an Urban Stage by Daylight Books. The hardbound, 8 by 10 inch, 88-page book contains fifty beautifully-printed duotone images of people on metros in fifteen cites on four continents. It includes a foreword by Ed Kashi and an essay by Marlaine Glicksman. I began this long-term project in 2007 in Paris and continued it in fifteen cities on four continents over the next eight years. Line 4 near Les Halles, Paris (2007). Leica M8, Elmarit-M 28mm f/2.8 For a brief video preview of Metro or to order a signed copy directly from me with free shipping in the USA, see http://stanraucher.com/metro-book/

  14. I took this in 2002 in Notre Dame cathedral using available light with the M6 and T-Max400CN, but have only just got round to scanning it. I hope you like it! Gerry
  15. I am scanning some T-Max400CN taken back in the year 2000 using my M6, and I am working through some work I did in Paris that year. I am pretty sure this was taken with the 50mm Summicron f2. I hope you like it. Gerry
