  1. I titled this 'Was that you?"
  2. The following three images are from a film I shot in 2002 using the Leica M6 and 50mm Summicron (I think!) at a street festival in Emsworth, England. I hope you like at least one of them! Gerry
  3. I decided to try out shooting .dng and b&w .jpeg fine on the M9, and this is the result. Post processing was done in a combination of Lightroom and SilverEfex Pro2. All in all I am pretty happy with the result. Caption: An Asian woman tries to persuade a disabbled woman to take a book about meditation, and then asks for payment for it. (Taken in Southampton, England) Gerry
  4. Three Asian tourists sample the delights of one of the many stalls selling a variety of freshly cooked food within the main market which can be found just off La Rambla in Barcelona. The Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, often simply referred to as La Boqueria, dates back to 1217, although the preset structure dates to 1853. Now firmly on the international tourist trail, the market is still popular with locals and visitors alike. Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5. 1/30 - f4 - 800iso. Gerry
  5. Taken using a M9 and 35mm Summitar f2.5 at 200iso. Gerry

    The Red Hair

Celebrating the first Pride Parade in Southampton for 15 years, this transgender person is happy to be photographed. Although the first Gay pride rally was held in London in 1972 many smaller cities in the United Kingdom have been slow in celebrating LGBT diversity, but with a large student population Southampton has finally caught up with modern thinking at a colourful fun-filled event. I was on the lookout also for photos for the National geographic assignment about hair, and felt this fitted the bill. Taken using an M9 with 35mm Summitar f2.5. Gerry
  7. A teenager who is too shy hides his face whilst his friends pose for a photograph at the Southampton Pride Parade event (taken with his permission) Leica M9 with 35mm Summarit-M f2.5.
  8. Taken in Rouen, France, suing a Leica M9 with Zeiss Sonnar-M 50mm f1.5 lens/ 1/180 at f9.5 @320iso. Gerry

    The Book Lover

Taken in the El Raval district of Barcelona with the Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 Gerry
  10. Portrait of his Son Leica Q, f=2,8, 1/60 sec., ISO 125
  11. Indian woman shopping at a street market whilst a young girl looks on (Southampton, England). This is my first post here so I hope everything is OK.
  12. He was actually quite agreeable to have me take his photo. He told me he was waiting for his girlfriend to finish work at the restaurant which was right there.
  13. M8 Summicron 75mm Thanks for your comments. Jean-Luc
  14. Selfish Reflections Leica Q, f=1.7, 1/60 sec, ISO 800
  15. I asked this accordionist if I could take his image whilst walking through Antwerp, and he nodded his approval. When I had finished (I took 2 shots virtually identical) I put all the change in my pocket into his case, but he became disgruntled suggesting it wasn't enough. Sadly I had to walk away because I felt he might get angry, there was nothing more I could do. Processed into b&w with LR CC from the original .dng file. Gerry

    Love is .......

Love is never letting go (taken in a cafe in Paris, France using an M6 and T400CN)
  17. Taken in the market at Place du Vieux Marché, Rouen, France using the M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5

    Is It Love?

A judge at the Wilton sheep sales looks into the face of a sheep in Wiltshire, England. Taken with an M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 lens.
  19. I took this on a trip to Beijing in 1998 using my M6, and I have just scanned it to give it a new life. I am sorry but I have no details stored with the original, but can say that it was taken on Fuji RDP 100iso film. I hope you like it! Gerry
  20. This was taken in 2002 using an M6 and Kodak 400CN. I have recently scanned it and processed in LR and Dfine. I have no idea what the lens settings were but the lens was probably my Summicron 50mm f2. Gerry
  21. Taken in Rouen, France using the M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5
  22. Farah near Granite Falls, Washington S (006) with 70mm Summarit
  23. Taken in Southampton (England) with permission. Used the Leica M9 with 35mm Summarit f2.5.
  24. Taken back in 1998 using a Leica M6 with 50mm Summicron-M f2 and Fuji Provia film. Recently scanned and post-processed in LRCC Gerry
