When visiting Prague one should not miss the church of St. Niklas on the Mala Strana, below the Hradcin. The church is a jewel in terms of interior decaration. All the interior is being designed by I. Dientzenhofer, one of the most famous artists of his craft. One has to pay a small entry fee but what you get to see is beyond imagination. The viewer may enjoy the illumination. For the photographer this is an advantage because there is more light but it is a difficulty because the quality of light is bad in terms of color cast and front light. To avoid this you have to turn but then have to face a bright light from the windows. Tripods are generally being banned so all shots are handheld. The tower is worthwhile being climbed. It is very narrow but the view from aove is very recommendable and really lovely. Olympus EM 5 with Summilux 15 mm. The first one is a panorama being stitched out of 4 pictures

I took this in the Louvre in Paris in 2002. I have just scanned it to add it to my archive. The camera was certainly the M6 and probably the lens was the 35mm Summicron I had back then. It was taken on Agfa Vista 800 colour film, which I have no rational explanation for now because I can't imagine me ever using it. The grain is pretty big, but through judicious use of LRCC I think I have gotten away with it at this size, or at least I hope so! I do like the result. Gerry

I took my regular visit to my favourite city-centre coffee shop and when he served me the guy behind the counter said "Have you taken any good snaps yet today?". I hadn't, but whilst I sat there with my coffee and Danish this scenario appeared in front of me. It is a candid image, and they did not notice me at any time. I used my M240 fitted with the 50mm Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 and I was working at 1,000iso. Exposure was 1/60th @ f6.8. post-processing was in Lightroom Classic. Hope you like it! Gerry

While I was having coffee at my favourite place this guy was sat running his office over his cup of coffee. "Hi, it's Mike the Magician" he said down the telephone. Sadly the guy at the other end didn't seem to know who he was. I took this candid shot of him with the M240 + 50mm lens at 1600iso. I then processed it through Lightroom Classic. Hope you like it!
