Mettricks is the local coffee stop for me in Southampton. I took this whilst waiting for a friend for coffee. Outside the window you can see a group of Morris dancers preparing for a music festival. Leica M240 + 35mm Summarit f2.5 @ 1000iso. Gerry

Three Asian tourists sample the delights of one of the many stalls selling a variety of freshly cooked food within the main market which can be found just off La Rambla in Barcelona. The Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, often simply referred to as La Boqueria, dates back to 1217, although the preset structure dates to 1853. Now firmly on the international tourist trail, the market is still popular with locals and visitors alike. Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5. 1/30 - f4 - 800iso. Gerry

This image was taken in a small bar in the El Raval district of Barcelona using the Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 lens @ 1600iso, and then post-processed in LR CC 2015.3 with some difficulty because of the low light levels, and the window to the extreme left which threw the exposure out a bit (this is a cropped image). This has turned out to be one of my favourite images from the trip. Gerry

This image from the inside of the Saint James Church (Église Saint-Jaques) in Dieppe was taken using the M9 and 24mm Elmarit f2.5 hand-held - 1/125 f3.4 @800iso. Processed in LR with noise reduction using Dfine (which I am finding very good on some images) Gerry

It seems that just occasionally the camera goes of at a tangent and has to capture something so way out of my normal straight-laced photography that it stuns me. This was one of those occasions when it was seriously influenced by Jay Maisel and his wonderful 'must read' for all serious photographers entitled 'Light, Gesture & Color'. One of those occasions was in the reception area of La Bertelière hotel just outside of Rouen in France.
