I don't know if I would go so far as to call color photography a "cage," but the I find myself more and more drawn to black and white photography and images; I find myself longing for a Monochrom typ 246 these days. This video ad for the Monochrom 246 certainly doesn't help matters.

A short set of photographs of the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (the MACBA, excellently described in this thread). We are lucky to live in Barcelona, which makes it easier to catch the best light for these kinds of photographs. All shots were made using the M7 and a 21mm lens with stacked filters. This was Delta 100 processed in ID-11. I have a difficult time shooting with the 21mm on the M7, as getting accurate framing with the external viewfinder is problematic. For some of these, I used the rangefinder to get the alignment as accurate as possible, but they still needed some slight rotation during scanning.

These two were taken on a trip to Barcelona in November to work alongside by good friend, and fine Barcelona street shooter, Lluis Ripoll. I used the M9 and the Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 for both, and b&w conversion was in LRCC. Gerry

Just from a couple a batchs of M10 images, I feel that the files from the type 246 were richer with more detail in them then the M10 black and white. From reviews online, it was said that the M10 BW was real close to the 246 for BW work at low iso, but i dont know......

It was my last few hours in NZ, so I decided to high tail it up to Glenorchy. I'm glad I did because the mountain vistas along that drive are something I won't forget. Leica M Typ 240, Voigtländer 50mm F1.5 Nokton panorama.

Transportation Walk, the pathway right next to the DOT headquarters in SE DC. It features a few installations like this one, that highlight different transportation-related items. This is my favorite, a collection of vintage bicycles from the 1930's. It's amazing to me how little noise the M10 produces, even at ISO6400, which is where I was shooting due to lateness of the hour. This picture is almost magical to me.© CLK Photography

This is from my trip to the US in 2001 and was taken on the Ellis Island Ferry using the Leica M6 and TX400CN. I thought long and hard about posting this image, and finally came to the conclusion that less able-bodied people are a part of our society and hopefully this image shows a caring relationship and inclusion in the world. This was taken with the M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 in the market in Rouen. Somehow it just doesn't work the same in colour. I hope you like it. Gerry

This was taken in 2002 using an M6 and Kodak 400CN. I have recently scanned it and processed in LR and Dfine. I have no idea what the lens settings were but the lens was probably my Summicron 50mm f2. Gerry
