Hallo Leute, ich will den Filmtransport Drehknopf gegen einen höheren Dreknopf mit mehr gripp wechseln. Dafür will ich auch den Auslöser "verlängern". Den Drehknopf kann man ja recht einfach gegen einen selbstgedrehten Messing oder Alu knopf wechseln, aber hat da jemand Erfahrung mit? Weiß jemand ob es sowas wie die Leica Glocke für Drahtauslöser auch mit direktem Auslöser gibt? Beste Grüße Thomas

My video is based on a Zoom talk which I gave to the Photographic Collectors Club of Great Britain last Sunday. This was a development of an article of mine which had appeared earlier in the magazine of The Leica Society (UK). This traces the fact that the very first Leicas with interchangeable lenses were conversions done in Britain in the late 1920s, even before Leitz/Leica offered the same features on Leicas made in Wetzlar. These used Meyer (German) and Ross and Dallmeyer (both British) lenses. Some of the features of the British conversions were subsequently used by Leitz/Leica. Leica then adopted the wider LTM M39 mount and the British Manufacturers adapted to this with their later production. Some of the images from my talk are below William

Hi there. Couple of days ago I decided to try some LTM glass on my Leica MP and bought a new Fotodiox 50/75 adapter. While it worked perfectly I was surprised and mostly heart broken to see that the mid line of the lens mount had been scratched on my beloved camera which I saved for such a long time to buy. The scratch is superficial as far as I can see and on the 4,5,6 and 7 o'clock directions (The photo which I share on here doesn't do them justice. They are more visible than what looks like here). I didn't have time to develop my film so I cannot say if it damaged the mount on funtional level. But I want to learn your experiences with similar situations if you had any. I read that these things can happen even when you use native lenses on cameras but as far as I know for the last 9 months my Voigtlander 35mm f/2 Ultron didn't damage or let alone scratch the lens mount on my MP. I reattached my Voigtlander after experiencing this situation and shooting another roll of film with it to see if there is any problem. Is there a possibility that I damaged my camera functionally? Can my Voigtlander be attached to the lens mount securely and without further damage either to the lens mount or the lens itself? What are you thoughts on Fotodiox adapters? The adapter that I bought seems that it is made of a material that is not similar to the material that Leica uses on its mount. I would be grateful to read your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I wonder if anyone out there used Canon 85mm f1.8 LTM on Leica III? I'm thinking of getting this lens but I'm afraid that it might be too fat at its base (probably about 60mm). It looks like the slow shutter dial might be in a way to mount it properly.

Hello, my newly arrived ltm Nikkor Q 13.5cm has me a little puzzled about something. Query: when attached to my M8 should the lens' D.O.F. Scale be landing at top dead center? Using a known to be good 28/90 ltm to m adapter the d.o.f scale is lining up about halfway over toward the frame preview lever. The tripod block is equally out of alignment with the bottom of the camera. I put my CV 28 back on the adapter and it's d.o.f scale still lands top center like before, put the Nikkor on it and confirmed it still lines up off kilter when bayoneted onto the camera. Help! :-D I'm puzzled. And I can't find a clear pic on google or flickr of a ltm nikkor on a M body which answers my query. Thanks. Richard in Michigan

Hi. Used a Leitz M39 to Leica m Adapter on my M10 with a summaron 35/2.8 lens. The rangefinder coupling is not working and my M10 terminates the liveview witin seconds and sets back the manual lens selection to ‚auto‘. Does anybody have an explanation/solution? Thx a lot!

Liebe Leute, ich habe hier ein Jupiter-8 2/50 neuerer Bauart, das ich per Voigtländer-Adapter an die Leica M6 angeschlossen habe. Mit den Ergebnissen bin ich, was die Auflösung und "Rendering" angeht, sehr zufrieden. Nur leider scheint der scharfe Punkt bei Aufnahmen im 2m-Abstand ca 15cm hinter dem anvisierten Objekt zu liegen (Augen der fotografierten Person). Ich habe gelesen, dass das mehrere Ursachen haben kann: u.a. Inkompatibilität der Steilheit der Kurven, die auf den Mess-Kamm übertragen werden, aber auch diskrete Abweichungen im Auflagemaß, was durch Veränderung interner Platzhalter korrigiert werden könnte ("Shimmen"). Ausserdem soll es bei diesem Sonnar-Verwandten noch einen Focus-Shift geben, abhängig von der verwendeten Blende. Ich würde das Objektiv gern bei Blende 2.8-4 bei 1.5m - 2m einsetzen. Weiß jemand eine feinmechanische Werkstatt, die diese Aufgabe übernehmen könnte (selber machen kommt wegen des zeitlichen Aufwandes und fehlender Erfahrung nicht in Frage). Hi all, Received my M9 recently, so I've been looking at ways to get all my old lenses 6bit coded. I've forgotten to change the lens selection almost every time I've changed lenses, it is getting quite anoying when it comes to post processing. First one I've coded is the CV 35mm Ultron ƒ/1.7. I got a chinese made (Kipon) screwmount adaptor from eBay with ready-milled slots for black dots to be drawn on. The only problem is that when mounted the lens is rotated about 30 degrees from where it should be on the body. Doesn't seen to affect the focus, but it's a little annoying. Is this a common problem? I'm thinking of getting the original Voigtlander adaptor milled, if that's possible somewhere here in the UK. The shots I've taken so far are here: Steve's M9 photos if anyone's interested. Liebe Forenten, ich bin recht günstig in den Besitz eines F1.2, 50mm-Objektivs von Canon gekommen, laut Seriennummer aus dem Jahr 1959. Ich würde es gerne mit meiner M9 nutzen (Adapter von Voigtländer). Im Nahbereich fokussiert das Ding ohne Probleme, ab ca. drei Metern funktioniert das nicht mehr. Weiß jemand, wo ich das Objektiv justieren lassen kann? Danke im Voraus!

Hi. I was wondering whether the heads of both are interchangeable, i.e. can you screw the head of Elmar 9cm into the barrel of Wollensak Velostigmat 9cm New York? I have seen one such combo but the optical lens was destroyed so I was unable to test. I know the top of inner barrel should have matching last three digits, but I did not get to check them. My two further questions: are Wollensak Velostigmat 9cm 4.5 lenses RF coupled? And was there ever a E. Leitz New York 9cm Elmar? Thank you for your answers.
