  2. Hi everyone! Voigtländer’s two most recent vintage lenses have been widely available for quite a few months, but I find very few “real life” reviews on line, and none from the usual suspects specifically, I am looking for feedback on personal experience/testing with the Color-Skopar 21mm f/3.5 VM on digital Ms (not curious about other 21mm lenses, nor Sony mount version, nor speculation based on specs sheet, nor inferences from the 35mm Ultron nor general talk about VM lenses). Anyone in this forum actually used the lens with a digital M yet? If yes, how did it perform for you (resolution/contrast, potential quirks in corners, distortion, vignetting, rendering in general, focusing reliability, etc) ? Please forgive me if the specific performance topic was already discussed in detail in this forum. Or can you point to any (good) output-based review blog/video (found one using film M, a couple showing lens rather than discussing performance and plenty of reviews for E-mount version)? Or simply pictures shot through the lens (preferably high res downloads)? i have seen the promotional picture samples published at launch, so no need to point there! Thanks beforehand!

It was time for a selfie with the CL and some off camera flashes.🤣 Nobody home to help out, remote app not working with CL, Godox trigger and Voigtländer lens. Back to self timer and guessing position in front of lens.

  11. Hello, I'm a teenager photographer who would like to by a M system on a budget. Possibly below ~850$. Thing's I'd like. -The body must be compatible with the Voigtlander 15mm Screwmount with an adapter. -A meter would be ideal, but not absolutely necessary. -Good viewfinder -At least somewhat stable I don't reall have any specification on lenses, other than I already know I'd get a 15mm 4.5 screwmount. If you have any other opinion such as getting a R setup, please tell me!
Grazie mille in anticipo a tutti. Hello everyone, anyone can help me, I would be able to use the 35mm f / 1.4 I use on M6 also with the M9, but I read in a table found on the net that this lens is not compatible with a similar 6-bit. At the moment I can not use the rangefinder for the correct focus. Thank you in advance to all.

Was würdet ihr mir empfehlen?

I've worked on this project for over a year now. This combination of camera and lens and specific lighting conditions were the only combo that was giving me exactly the rendition I wanted. It's amazing how awesome the M8 is. I love that camera! I have a few on my blog, and will be putting up some more and some behind the scenes kinda stuff shortly. I also have an ebook available that features these images and more. It was designed for digital reading. You can see it here if you are interested. http://soundvisionpassion.com/2012/0...now-available/
  16. Hi folks, I have been thinking about buying another lens for my M8, something a bit wider to give me the 'classic' 35mm field of view. Here's the back story - I used to have a Canon 1DMkII and used a 50mm lens as my 'walkabout' lens, so when I sold it and went to the M8 I went for a 50mm Summilux mainly because that is a focal length that I was used to, especially since both cameras have a 1.3x crop sensor. So the question is - what are my options when it comes to achieving a 35mm equivalent on the M8? By my calculations I should aim for a 27mm to get the closest possible, but seems like I will need to compromise. Oh, one other thing - I would like to buy used and not spend too much. I'll list below the options that I've found, along with approximate used prices. (Mainly AUD, but that's not far from USD at the moment anyway...) Voigtlander 25mm f/4 - $420 (This actually looks like a new price?) Voigtlander 28mm f3.5 - just had a quick search online but not much success finding any of these?? Carl Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 - $1,000 Leica 28mm Elmarit (f/2.8) - $1,000 MS Optical Perar 28mm f/4 - $700 (The very far left-field oddball option... price is for new.) Canon 28mm f2.8 - $500 (Screw mount and would require adapter.) What is the opinion on much older lenses, say a 1970's 38mm Elmarit? Honestly I don't care about some paint wear or scratches on the body. Actually I suppose I shouldn't be too concerned, my Summilux is a 1970's model anyway and I am floored by the image quality (or maybe I'm just not very picky). I am seriously considering this old Elmarit, but my only concern is that it has neither front or rear lens caps, so I hope they're sturdy as it must have been stored like this as well... also 'cleaning marks' on the front glass. But this is by far the cheapest option... maybe a good cheap introduction to using 35mm? I figure I can always sell easily without much loss if I don't like it anyway. From what I have seen & read about the Canon 28/2.8 it seems like a great performer as well...? I don't necessarily expect the same performance as my Summilux, I suppose I am happy to experiment a bit because I have only used a single lens on my M8 so far. Interested to hear some other opinions. Are there any other screw mount lenses that I should consider? Cheers
  17. Within Lightroom 4 there is a decent selection of lens profiles for the Leica M (as well as the S), but when attempting to download more in the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader not a single lens is shown when selecting "Leica" from the "Camera Make" column. I would think that at least the existing profiles would be there, but nothing! I am looking for a solution to correct for the color cast of the Cosina-Voigtländer 15mm and 21mm M lenses on the Leica M9. I bought the Super-Elmar M 18mm as a compromise, but I decided to go with the Leica 21mm and ditch the rest. In the meantime, I still need to correct the images I have made with the CV 15mm and 21mm. Does Lightroom 4 have the ability to correct these color casts like Cornerfix, or am I barking up the wrong tree? If not, where can I download Cornerfix profiles? Must I make my own?

  20. Recently did a spin around the Tibetan Autonomous Zone of west Sichuan Province. Took an M9 and a few VC and Zeiss lenses. Didn't have much time to shoot as the guys I was with just wanted to drive like madmen. We were above 4000 meters for 12 days. I got a back and had a little problem with my card reader in the M9, took for service and they told me I will get it back in eight months. I like the M9, but at the end of the day it's a toy and not something for serious work. As I can't figure out how to add images to the gallery I created, I will just post a few here instead. Can check out more here. VC 50/1.5 VC 75/1.8 VC 75/1.8
  21. Hi guys, this is my very first post over here after reading it since I've got my M3. I was using it with my friend's Summarit 50, while searching for an optimal lens for me. Finally, I've decided to buy a Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.5. Fortunately, I've managed to get one for a test ride (actual the one, I'll buy, if i do so) and I've experience the following situation with it: when I put it on my camera, it doesn't click. Like if the lens release button (or how is it called officially?) doesn't clicks into the lens. So I can take off the lens of the body without pressing the lens release button. Interesting, though, I can't rotate the lens in the opposite direction without pressing the button. What can I do in that case? The guy has an M6 and 240 and he doesn't have that issue. I've tried to unscrew the button and check it on both lenses, but it seems identically the same, till the last micro mm. Here's a video demonstraing the problem: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10156939/Video%2007-03-15%2012%2049%2029.mov Thanks alot, guys much love
  22. Hello, What lens profile are people using with this lens on the M240 with the latest firmware? I have read many articles that states that both the WATE (21mm), Summicron 28mm, and 21mm f/2.8 lens profiles works good. Though, I guess one profile must be more suited for this lens than others?
