  1. The problem arises with cameras with APS-C sensors mainly. These small sensors are surrounded by containments for the shutter. If one does not collapse the Elmar in line (but angled), the lens mount can scratch the containment. Scratching damages the black colour painting.
  2. This is Sigma fp at 102,400 ISO. fp with Telyt MR 500mm f/8, 1/500 handheld, 104,400 ISO, living room, not cropped. Topaz Photo AI helped F-stop f/8 is the diameter/focal length measure. The exposure f-stop is around f/9.5, due to the mirror in the light path.
  3. I have a Lux 35 asph.. I take pictures, independent of the character of the used lens. Bokeh is - of course - an interesting aspect of a picture. I take it, as it comes. I have a neutral-density filter for the lens, but I have never used it.
  4. Sorry, I misunderstood the term. The Leica sensor corrects for vignetting only, I think. But glass also distorts a bit. My Sigma fp is said to have a thin cover glass. I made pictures from birds on our terrace last week. At an angle of 30 degrees through the double pane window (500mm Telyt MR). I did not succeed to make clean pictures with PS. Time-consuming, even for a pensioner.
  5. Cancel the cover glass, would be my opinion. A camera is something to be used. Perhaps you hide your Leica equipment in the cupboard. Have you ever had problems, that someone shoots an arrow into the front lens of your camera? Sorry, but if I read cover glass, my hairs stand upright.
  6. A real soldier sleeps with his rifle. So nothing special. But I have almost 10 cameras, so I would have to plan my sleeping, where to place the Sigma, Canon, Sony, Leica, Tessina, Lytro products. I don't want a fight!
  7. You make pictures. Leica, Canon, Sigma, Nikon, Sony or whatever. Concentrate on the end product. That is, what counts!
  8. Facade stone of the post building in Feucht, Bavaria, taken from the oak wood (see the tree left😉). fp with Telyt R 500m, distance 50m, handheld, 1/500sec, 20.000 ISO. OOC
  9. That is it. I was thinking of proposing to insert a handgrenate. But that would produce a lot of mess.
  10. Lock down would not help. Stolen is stolen. Follow the recommendations of member AussieQ. On the other side, a camera can be insured. So you would get a new one paid. To address Leica, wouldn't it be an idea to add a tracker into these steal prone cameras? Could even be a marketing advantage!
  11. No problem. Just keep in touch with the Dutch!
