  3. Taken in the low winter light recently using the M240 and 35mm Summarit f2.5 at 400iso. 1/330 f8. 'Nipper' is the name of the dog emblem which has been used by 'His Masters Voice' music company for decades to promote their products. I can only assume this young lady was on her way to work. Gerry
  4. Taken in 2002 using a Leica M6 but I am afraid I have no further details as i have mislaid the negative: Gerry

    The Ring

Part of a new project I am working on: A Friesian steer is brought before potential buyers in the sales ring at the weekly Southern Counties Auctioneers livestock sale near Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. Leica M9 + 24mm Elmarit f2.8 @ 1600iso Gerry

    Sweet Jars

Rows of sweet jars on the shelves of Sweet Corner in the small Hampshire town of Bishops Waltham invoke memories of childhood in a world of prepacked heavily marketed alternatives. Leica M9 with 35mm Summarit-M f2.5 using natural light at 320iso Gerry
  13. A guitarist sits waiting for his turn at an 'open mike' night at a cafe/bar in downtown Southampton, England.
  14. Digilux 2 Converted to mono in LR5 and SEP2 - Taken soon after sunrise.
  15. This was taken in the downtown area of Southampton where I had been photographing in the small street market. I was about to get back into the car when I turned and saw this scene. The image really is a quick 'grab' shot without reseting anything. It is from June 2019, don't be fooled by the 2015 on the caption which is the film number. Leica M7 and Tri-X film commercially processed.
  16. It was the annual Gay pride event in my home town of Southampton, and there was the usual plethora of street vendors including the balloon sellers. This guy only sold unicorn belloons, and made an interesting subject. This is a very colourful event and it would have been easy to be overwhelmed by the colour, but I made the decision to shoot it b&w: Leica M240 + 50mm Summicron-M f2 Gerry
  17. From todays walkabout in the centre of Southampton. Leica M240 + 35mm Summarit-M f2.5 Gerry
  18. Life is pretty quiet photographically for me at the moment, mostly due to really bad weather with heavy rain which makes street photography almost impossible. This means I am continuing my journey through my archives, and this I had forgotten. It shows a typical English pastime - playing bowls. The white clothes are the standard dress for everyone, and afternoon tea is almost compulsory. English tradition at its best. Leica M3 + 50mm Summicron f2. Ilford 400 Delta. 1997.
  19. Reminded me of people like Saul Leiter or maybe Ernst Hass, don’t know but I like it. Leica M240 + 50mm Summicron f2. Processed in LR Classic using a Kodachrome 25 preset. Gerry
  20. This from a film received back from the lab this week. Leica M7 with 50mm Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 and taken on Kodak Tri-X at 320iso. Lab processed and then processed using Lightroom Classic.
  21. Children look at each other out in the city with their parents. Leica M240 with Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5. 1/180 f8 at 320iso. Gerry
  22. We never grow up, we just get older. People with balloons. Southampton, England. Leica M240 with Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5. 1/180 f8 @ 320iso. Gerry
  23. I particularly like the two faces in the background! Leica M240 with 50mm Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 lens. 1/750 f8 @ 320iso. Gerry
  24. New to my street photography gallery: June 2019Leica M7 + 35mm Summarit f2.5 lens. Kodak Tri-X.
  25. I took my regular visit to my favourite city-centre coffee shop and when he served me the guy behind the counter said "Have you taken any good snaps yet today?". I hadn't, but whilst I sat there with my coffee and Danish this scenario appeared in front of me. It is a candid image, and they did not notice me at any time. I used my M240 fitted with the 50mm Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 and I was working at 1,000iso. Exposure was 1/60th @ f6.8. post-processing was in Lightroom Classic. Hope you like it! Gerry
