    Sweet Jars

Rows of sweet jars on the shelves of Sweet Corner in the small Hampshire town of Bishops Waltham invoke memories of childhood in a world of prepacked heavily marketed alternatives. Leica M9 with 35mm Summarit-M f2.5 using natural light at 320iso Gerry

  16. Today I took a trip out to continue my efforts to "recentre" my work away from street photography. At the moment it is difficult because I am having fairly severe problems walking, but this is one of the resulting images: "Walking in fields of gold" - Leica M240 + 24mm Elmarit-M f2.8 ASPH. Gerry
  17. Life is pretty quiet photographically for me at the moment, mostly due to really bad weather with heavy rain which makes street photography almost impossible. This means I am continuing my journey through my archives, and this I had forgotten. It shows a typical English pastime - playing bowls. The white clothes are the standard dress for everyone, and afternoon tea is almost compulsory. English tradition at its best. Leica M3 + 50mm Summicron f2. Ilford 400 Delta. 1997.
  18. Continuing my trawl through my archives, I found this from Chinese New Year in London 1998. I had been shooting with my first Leica (a M3) for less than a year at this stage. Film was Fuji Neopan 400 and the lens was an old Summicron 50mm f2. Gerry

They will be there until at least the end of the year so if you want to join me there for a coffee just email me.Because they cover a long time span not all were on Leica, and about 2/3rds are on film, including some from this year taken with the M7.Gerry
