    Sweet Jars

Rows of sweet jars on the shelves of Sweet Corner in the small Hampshire town of Bishops Waltham invoke memories of childhood in a world of prepacked heavily marketed alternatives. Leica M9 with 35mm Summarit-M f2.5 using natural light at 320iso Gerry
  10. A man sits outside an empty bar in the seasonal.German Market in Southampton, England. Taken with a Leica M9 and 35mm Summarit f2.5.

    Zoned out

    From this mornings coffee break. Leica M240 with 50mm Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 lens.1/15 f11 @ 320iso. Gerry
  16. I took my regular visit to my favourite city-centre coffee shop and when he served me the guy behind the counter said "Have you taken any good snaps yet today?". I hadn't, but whilst I sat there with my coffee and Danish this scenario appeared in front of me. It is a candid image, and they did not notice me at any time. I used my M240 fitted with the 50mm Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 and I was working at 1,000iso. Exposure was 1/60th @ f6.8. post-processing was in Lightroom Classic. Hope you like it! Gerry
  17. This from a film received back from the lab this week. Leica M7 with 50mm Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 and taken on Kodak Tri-X at 320iso. Lab processed and then processed using Lightroom Classic.
  18. It was the annual Gay pride event in my home town of Southampton, and there was the usual plethora of street vendors including the balloon sellers. This guy only sold unicorn belloons, and made an interesting subject. This is a very colourful event and it would have been easy to be overwhelmed by the colour, but I made the decision to shoot it b&w: Leica M240 + 50mm Summicron-M f2 Gerry

    Red

I am working on my colour street photography at the moment and quite like this from yesterday. Leica M240 + 50mm f1.5 lens Gerry
  24. This image forms part of my further adventures into colour street photography after shooting black and white for 60+ years. It is a learning curve involving a different way of seeing, but one which I am enjoying (even if I do not get it right!) Gerry
