  1. Probably the last lens I would have considered using for a portrait would be a 10 mm hyper-wide lens but here's the result. I was in a very cramped cottage in the Black Country Museum in Warwickshire and the 10 mm was able to scoop in everything I wanted and dealt with the complex colour balance from daylight, candle light, and open fire exceptionally well I feel. While I'm aware that there are some imperfections I'm pleased with the picture. I wanted to show the subject in her surroundings as it would have looked 150 years ago. Thank you for finding the time to look at my picture and your comments are welcome. M10 with Voigtlander 10/5.6 Heliar Hyper-wide.
  2. It was heaving with tourists from the cathedral, but I managed to get this photo of this historic street when there was a short lull. Leica M240 + 35mm Summarit f2.5 Gerry
  3. Duisburg, Industrial Landscape Park North, ther are no structures any more to produce and transport coal and mining products direcly from the poduction on the railways. Leica Q
  4. I visited a photo and adventure fair. The location was one of those industrial sites once being the heart of the German steel production and mining industry and energy supply. In the ruhr-Gebiet you can find an eldorado for photogrpahers. Her there were many of them exploring the buildings. Many were open accessible and being meant for trying out things. The Leic Q was the camera of the choice for that day and it was sheer fun. Exposure was extremely challenging with a bright overcast sky and the dark contrasty and rusty objects. Two types of jungle
  5. The university of Breslau is a large building at the Oder river and so also a frame of the historic center. A visit is worthwhile from inside. The architecture of the staircase and halls are magnificent. Even if the pantings are not of the best artistic class it makes an impressive sight. All Leica Q handheld
  6. An inviting sight, when after a rainy day the sky cleared and a lovely blue hour spread a nice light. Leica Q, 2.8/ 1/125 sec. / ISO 4000
  7. People going home from Christmas Shopping strolling through the rainy bylanes of our historic centre of Bielefeld Leica Q

  10. This image from the inside of the Saint James Church (Église Saint-Jaques) in Dieppe was taken using the M9 and 24mm Elmarit f2.5 hand-held - 1/125 f3.4 @800iso. Processed in LR with noise reduction using Dfine (which I am finding very good on some images) Gerry
  11. I took this whilst wandering the streets of Paris in the year 2000. I used a Leica M6 and shot on T-Max 400CN. I am just working through my old films to add the images to my Lightroom library and finding some interesting images.
