    How?

"How?" How can I go forward when I don't know which way I'm facing? How can I go forward when I don't know which way to turn? How can I go forward into something I'm not sure of? Oh no, oh no How can I have feeling when I don't know if it's a feeling? How can I feel something if I just don't know how to feel? 11. For an airshow event I took my M9-P and a 135mm f/4 Elmar from the 60's. That was the only equipment option I had so I had to make do! . Weather was constantly changing between very heavy downpours and bright blue sky. I decided to set my camera only once in advance for the complete display. My settings were: Shutter: A ISO : Auto Auto ISO Setup: Lens dependent (For the first time ever!) Lens Aperture:f/5.6 Lens: Uncoded Lens detection: Auto. I was pleasantly surprised to discover later that every shot was successful and the histogram was consistently bell-shaped and centrally placed. The ISO had always auto selected a setting within the range I set and the images of jet displays are pretty good for a short lens in what would usually have demanded 300-400mm I don't know if the "lens dependent" Auto ISO setup made the difference, but I seem to have got it just right. Note: This was a sky oriented event. No ground events. Safety requirements dictated that no planes were flying over spectators and were over the water and at least 300m from us. Any comments about these settings are welcomed.

  15. Hello. My name is Andrew, I'm from London, and yesterday I bought my first Leica M after wanting one since the M8. An as new grey M9, and I'm stoked. I've been wanting to won a digital Leica for some time, especially the M9 as I see it as the turning point for Leica in digital and wanted to collect one. Next I'll buy the MD, but that will have to wait a year or three. I have no lenses yet, I am hunting. I've been shooting for a long time, I've tried every type of camera system, but something about Leica just calls to me so I decided life is too short to not jump in. My other cameras as the X100 range (all three of them) and some Nikon DSLR gear which never gets used but is worth keeping around for working in awful weather. The X100T is a fun little machine, but I want the reality of the Leica M. I'm a designer by trade. Cheers, Andrew.

  18. Wandering around Istanbul this past October, I snapped this pic off the cuff. Post-processed in Lightroom. Sorry about the strange crop, some guy walked into the frame as I was snapping the pic. In trying to crop him out, I also wanted to maintain the dimensions, but taking him out entirely would mean losing the woman's shoes or cutting off the head of the mural. M9 40mm 'cron

    Father and Son

Hello! It's been more than a year since I've posted! Did I miss anything? I'm currently living in Turkey, teaching on a Fulbright. I'm still taking photos though, my cameras here are my faithful M9 with 40mm Summicron-C lens (and occasionally a Voigtlander Nokton 50mm /1.1 —a hefty lens I should use more), my trusty D-Lux 6 (G-Star Raw Edition), and my iPhone 7 (to be honest, the iPhone 7 is my most used camera). I'm posting photos, every so often, on my website. Here is the link to the gallery of pics for my year away from New Mexico: http://vaqueravasquez.com/fotos/index.php?/category/24 Here's a photo of my nephew and his father one day last week when were walking around downtown Ankara. 23. Auf der Seite "Leicarumors" war ein wichtiger Hinweis zu den Akkus: Important information about Li-Ion batteries for the Leica M8/M8.2/M9/M9-P/M(9) and MONOCHROM/M-E camera models We have determined that several rechargeable batteries (Order no. 14 464) manufactured at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016 for cameras of the M series were supplied with a defective electronic component. The effect of this is that the camera displays false information about the battery charge level for these particular batteries. In the case of the Leica M8/M8.2 models, the battery symbol in the LCD on the top plate is not displayed at all and, in the case of the Leica M9/M9-P and M-E models, shows a false, 100% charge level no matter what the actual charge level of the battery may be.
