  1. Three Asian tourists sample the delights of one of the many stalls selling a variety of freshly cooked food within the main market which can be found just off La Rambla in Barcelona. The Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, often simply referred to as La Boqueria, dates back to 1217, although the preset structure dates to 1853. Now firmly on the international tourist trail, the market is still popular with locals and visitors alike. Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5. 1/30 - f4 - 800iso. Gerry
  2. A young lady poses for her partner to take her photograph against the backdrop of the streets of Barcelona in this image shot with a Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5, and then converted to b&w in Lightroom. Gerry
  3. The Arch at Playa de Campiecho, in the Asturias. Leica S (Typ 007), Summarit-S 35mm. Thanks for viewing, best Vieri
  4. Playa de Ballota, Asturias, at sunrise Leica S, Summarit-S 35mm, 8 seconds @ f/16. Thanks for viewing, best Vieri
  5. Walking down the airport in Frankfurt to catch a flight you´ll note in almost every electronic store the presence of Leica products. I´m sometimes wondering about who is passing by and buying a Leica-M cam or lenses exposed in that shops for thousand of Euros just a few minutes before taking off but there is enough crazy money around the world that needs to be spent. So it´s a guess that Leica might be happy with it´s sales in such "prominent locations". Living since a few years in Madrid I´m also wondering why Leica is not present with a shop - maybe a gallery too - in the third European metropolitan area, providing dedicated Leica users with the chance to see, to taste and to buy new products. Madrid is a wonderful, lightful and vibrant city that provides a wide range of possibilities and knowing the affinity of Spaniards for German high quality products it´s rather peculiar why Leica products aren´t offered in a decent store here. Anybody aware about the companies market strategy or if they are planning to expand into new markets maybe with new stores in Spain?
  6. I took this girl texting on her cellphone, totally oblivious to the passing crowds. I used the Leica M9 using the Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 and then post processed in LRCC. I hope you like it. Gerry
  7. These two were taken on a trip to Barcelona in November to work alongside by good friend, and fine Barcelona street shooter, Lluis Ripoll. I used the M9 and the Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 for both, and b&w conversion was in LRCC. Gerry

    The Book Lover

Taken in the El Raval district of Barcelona with the Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 Gerry

This image was taken in a small bar in the El Raval district of Barcelona using the Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 lens @ 1600iso, and then post-processed in LR CC 2015.3 with some difficulty because of the low light levels, and the window to the extreme left which threw the exposure out a bit (this is a cropped image). This has turned out to be one of my favourite images from the trip. Gerry
  10. This was taken on Les Rambles in Barcelona using the M9 and a Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 les, and then processed in LR CC 2015.3 I hope you like it! Gerry

Taken with the Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 lens in the Plaça de Castella in El Raval district of Barcelona. Hope you like it! Gerry

  14. Heading back. M240, 60mm Macro Elmarit-R.
  15. A dramatic morning at El Picon, taken during the Workshop I led in Asturias (Spain) last fall. Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  16. After the vertical one taken with the Leica SL I posted a while ago, one more Sunrise at Playa de Gueirua in the Asturias (Spain), this time in landscape format and with a slightly longer lens (28mm FOV instead of 15mm). Playa de Gueirua is really amazing with the right sky and definitely worth the descent (and ascent back up!). This time is Leica S (Typ 007) and Leica Summarit-S 35mm. Thanks for viewing, best regards Vieri
  17. "Portizuelo's Devil", in Asturias (Spain). You need to do some acrobatics to get to Portizuelo when the tide is high, blocking access to the beach; however, the landscape there is definitely worth the shower. Leica S (007), Leica Summarit-S 70mm, Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thanks for viewing, best regards Vieri
  18. "El Picon", an incredible rock formation, close to Llanes in the Asturias, at sunset. Leica S (Typ 007), 70mm Summarit-S. Best regards, Vieri
  19. El Castro de Las Gaviotas, an impressive sea arch in the Asturias, Spain shot at sunrise. Leica S and Summarit-S 35mm. Thanks for viewing, best regards Vieri
  20. Playa Ballota is a great location - the islet is a spectacular background, and there is plenty of foreground interest. Just love it!! Leica S (Typ 007), Leica Summarit-S 35mm. Thanks for viewing, best regards Vieri

    A quiet moment

I took this on a trip to Barcelona in November 2015, but I have just worked on it to get a look I am happy with so that I could submit it to a National Geographic project entitled 'Quiet Moment'. I used a Leica M9 with 35mm Leica Summarit f2.5 lens and shot at 400iso. Gerry
  22. Just as the title says: Symmetries at Playa Ballota, Spain. Leica S (007), Leica Summarit-S 35mm. Best, Vieri
