I took this image whilst shooting on a group shoot at a forge in Portsmouth, England. I used a Leica M9 and 35mm Summarit-M f2.5, and then processed it through Lightroom with very little tweaking. Not quite on the thirds, and the non-vertical black line troubles me a bit, but that is how it was. I hope you like it! Gerry

Celebrating the first Pride Parade in Southampton for 15 years, this transgender person is happy to be photographed. Although the first Gay pride rally was held in London in 1972 many smaller cities in the United Kingdom have been slow in celebrating LGBT diversity, but with a large student population Southampton has finally caught up with modern thinking at a colourful fun-filled event. I was on the lookout also for photos for the National geographic assignment about hair, and felt this fitted the bill. Taken using an M9 with 35mm Summitar f2.5. Gerry

I will be running a street photography workshop in Southampton (UK) on Saturday 10 September. It will be based in the centre of the city and is suitable for most levels of photographic skill. Whilst waiting to get my hair cut I decided to take a few photos, mainly to use up a roll of film. The barber and his customer kindly gave permission. Taken with Leica M7 and 24mm Elmarit f2.5 using Ilford Delta 400, scanned and post-processed in Lightroom. Gerry

A bunch of flowers to brighten your day. Taken at the New Forest Lavender Gardens on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border using my M240 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f2.5 @ 250iso. A pleasant place to visit (free) and have something to eat if you are in the area. Gerry
