35mm cron v4, very early '79 Canadian model, judging by the specs and serial number. Mounted on an M240. Wide open. Absolutely un-edited, except I had to straighten it slightly.

I love how "awful" it looks in the corners, I love the colors. Unremarkable picture, but I found the looming clouds to be interesting. It started to absolutely pour down half an hour later.

The M240 + cron v4 actually fits in the pocket of my rain jacket if it starts pouring down, but I guess I should get a proper bag.

Addendum from a different thread, should actually come here - with E. Leitz TELYT 1:4 / 200mm (1977) (Designer Walter Mandler, production from 1958 to 1978)

I don't want to put this cutout here as a test image, thus as a little flower to thank all employees of the Mandler Lens production. (;-)

Often is the case for me that a CCD M & 35mm iv Summicron combination really hits the spot.

Wow, I've never seen blur like the rope extending to the right side.  Was it moving?  Very interesting.

I don't think the rope was moving. I've seen similar behavior before, though perhaps not as prominent as here.

This is another example I found in my library, taken with a wide open Noctiux f/1. The blur to the left makes it look like the rope is moving. Perhaps someone else can provide a more technical explanation of the phenomenon.

I don't know why,

just one of explanations (if possible) of "creamy blob" when Noctilux 1.0 used elsewhere.

Maybe kind of color aberrations, when we look at the yellowish border of the "white" blending to yellow background.

Aberrations to learn to master in using this "character lens".

Just OoF rendering i guess and a bit of glow perhaps. Another example with more glow here (35/1.4 v2).

A picture I took with my new copy the other day. I love to shoot fully open to bring out the gorgeous Mandler bokeh, but sometimes I stop down a little too.
