... the first one from this evening ...

Not sure how to quote the image itself - but if someone could post a DNG with this sort of blown red, then I'd really appreciate it! I'd like to see what's actually there and what's totally blown out. Thx!

PS: I meant this image:

OK, I picked up my CL today at Camera West in Walnut Creek, California. I managed to capture a few shots tonight when dropping my daughter off at a gig. These were all from Jack London Square in Oakland, CA. First, a shot of the Christmas tree using a 35mm Summilux M FLE.

OK, trying again. ISO6400, 1/400s, f/1.4

And, finally, one taken with the 18mm at f/2.8...

All three of these are JPG’s out of camera, by the way, not DNG files. White balance and noise reduction set in Lightroom Mobile.

Good shots.  Very useful to know they are JPGs.

Thanks for those night shots.

I think the images are starting to lose detail/color at ISO 6400.

I'll probably set mine to ISO 3200 MAX.

Not certain, yet. These were the JPG’s. I need to take a look at the DNG’s to know. The noise reduction in the JPG engine could be an issue. You are certainly right that this is near the edge of the envelope to my taste and may well have crossed a line.

I look very often to your photo. For me its one of the  most amazing night photos i have seen the last time. And I looked to many photos...
