Leica Q - the image thread

Recommended Posts

Still getting used to the 28mm "restriction". Would have liked to have a longer lens for the horses, but I suppose shots like this show the bigger story.  Any thoughts?

Agree with you. It takes some times to really 'get the grip' with the 28mm focal length, but it will obviously give you the chance to capture more elemets and stories in your image. For close-up shot, I think the 24MP sensor gives us quite flexibility to crop even further without losing too much.

Excellent capture.  I'm not getting deep blacks straight out of camera, has this shot had a lot of pp?

I used Lightroom (that came bundled with the Q); mainly what I did was adding the 'clarity', 'highlighst', and 'blacks' a bit more.

Had the Q about 2 weeks so far, mainly shot family photos. A little post processing in Lightroom to correct for exposure, some highlights and shadows and a bit of color tweaking.

This morning I was up early to witness and photograph the Super Blue Blood Moon using the Leica Q and a Swarovski spotting scope. It was great fun and a real challenge. More details on the Digiscoping thread.
