Talk  before the Tea Burning.

Lexington’s patriots burned their tea in 1773, three days before the Bostonians staged their tea party. This was part of the re-enactment.

Christmas season means many colorful scenes about the house - particularly flowers.  The 18-56 Leica T zoom makes a darn good macro lens if there is enough light.  This was hand held on the TL2 … f 7.1, 100 ISO,  1/100th sec.  The 24meg resolution of the TL2 enables a major crop to bring the scene  into real macro territory.

If you find an Elpro Rick, try one. When I had the 18-56 on my T, I used the Elpro V1a and V1b, both with a home-made adapter ring to fit the 52mm threads. I used the Elpros on the X-Vario as well, great for getting closer.

Out of curiosity, how painful is it to remove tattoos if one begins to regret them after a few years...

Dear Vikas, I have no idea! I am not a member of that world. But I guess it must be more painful to remove than to have! But I wonder if you can completely remove and without any scar!?

Tattoos are extremely popular in Az, more tats here than any other place I've visited or lived.

As a result, there is a large number of tattoo removal clinics in the Phoenix area. They use lasers to burn off the ink and a layer of skin, it is a slow process requiring several visits. People I know have said it is not painful at all; unlike the getting the tattoo.

Many only go part way through the process until the ink is pale enough then they just wait a few years for it to fade away.

Along the same line, gauges in the ear (large see through rings for those unfamiliar with them) have created a new medical service of ear lobe plastic surgery after the person realizes that a 1" hole in their ear lobe really isn't such a great idea. Even after reconstruction, the ear lobe looks like your cat took a bite out of it.... :o

"Schindler's Jews". Photos of the Jews saved by Oskar Schindler, as told in the true story "Schindler's List", made into a movie by Stephen Spielberg. These photos are displayed in the window panes of Schindler's enamelware factory in Krakow, Poland.  The factory is now a WWII museum dedicated to Schindler, the Jews, Krakow and the Nazi invasion of Poland.

For anyone interested, I have posted more on the Landscape and Travel Forum under the thread "Concentration Camp Plaszow and Oskar Schindler"

I'm too old.  I can't get my mind around why people would want tattoos, even though some of them look stunning.

Every time I saw a pretty girl with a "sleeve" (a large heavily colored tattoo covering most of her arm) I think of a beautiful rose that a 3 year old "enhanced" via coloring with crayons; such a waste of original beauty.
