Common, Vikas; don't try to give me home sick with these shots and those you posted in the other site of NGA!....

You wont believe how cold it is. Though usually I like the cold as a change from Singapore, right now I have to say you’re lucky to be in Florida. I cant believe it’s colder in New England and the upper Mid-West!

A very Happy New Year to all the good folks in this forum.

We are freezing in Miami; it is only in the 80s. I am sure folks in DC, NY or Boston are having a much more pleasant weather!

Close, and correct with the initial G - but closer to the sea...

Centre of Gonfaron in the Var.

I knew I had been there but could not remember which village. I only live about 30 minutes away during the summer. I sometimes go through Gonfaron during the height of the tourist season, taking the back road to my brother's house between Cogolin and Collobrières, when I know the main route via La Garde Freinet will be blocked with caravans going towards St Tropez and the beaches.

Yes, I have noted your close address... I visit Gonfaron now and then since my mother in law resides in the village.

That region is one of my favorite places. Despite tourism.

A few of the laughing kookaburra that visited today my backyard.

Shot with the SL-90-280 @280mm. 38508359105_caed731b47_c.jpg38677897414_9dc232d25b_c.jpg39356186032_cbe2bc0783_c.jpg

What a fantastic IQ! But I guess holding this little camera with that big zoom is not very easy. It is not very easy for me to keep it study with my Angenieux 35-70mm.

4 pictures from me with my CL and a couple of lenses. I'm getting used to the camera more now as I use it more. it's no slouch, and the two zoom lenses (18-56 and 55-135) seem very capable indeed. The 55-135 does need a good shutter speed at the long end obviously as there is no OIS.

I have to say that with these two lenses I've got excellent range and flexibility, very good image quality, all in a nice little package.
