Mr.Q Posted January 19, 2017 Share #22 Posted January 19, 2017 Wow that looks great. I put in an order for silver but contemplating changing to black. Your photo makes the decision even harder.

wstam Posted January 19, 2017 Share #24 Posted January 19, 2017 Ok, let's get it started. Here is mine: Wow, that's fast. I am trying to find out the info displayed in the OVF. Is it same as M240? Any additional info displayed (like clearer indication of exposure compensation activated)? I combed through the various review but don't see anyone mentioning it. Thanks. Stealth3kpl Posted January 19, 2017 Share #26 Posted January 19, 2017 Well I will when I have it in my hands. Ivor at Red Dot tells me body #1 will be with him on Friday. I then ask myself do I wait until I'm down in London or do I ask him to courier it to me Obviously, he should courier it up so I can come down from Keswick and run my inquisitive hands all over it. Actually, I was intrigued by the book you showed in the bling portrait ... After looking at a few pages on-line, I ordered a copy.

Paulus Posted January 19, 2017 Author Share #29 Posted January 19, 2017 Ok, let's get it started. Here is mine: Thank you Steve, is the chrome alike from the M 240?
Steve Ash Posted January 19, 2017 Share #30 Posted January 19, 2017 Thank you Steve, is the chrome alike from the M 240? Sorry, I do not know. It looks the same then my silver Summilux 35 Asph. It also looks not to far from my silver M7. The M7 seems slightly shinier. Regards Steve Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk Pro
jonoslack Posted January 19, 2017 Share #31 Posted January 19, 2017 You'll notice the size before you notice the weight difference in hand. The top plate is not brass — it's black chrome, just like the M262's. Hi there - the top plate is brass - even the black chrome one (like the MM) the 262 is aluminum Best

My apologies for reporting that it wasn't brass. The 262-like finish must have fooled me!

microview Posted January 19, 2017 Share #37 Posted January 19, 2017 See what you mean by strap rings possibly scuffing body. Artisan & Artist have soft leather protector fitting over lugs to prevent this.
