  1. I cant imaging a small beep will have any noticeable impact on battery life. I rarely use the electronic shutter and thats part of the issue. I have grown accustomed to the Leica M shutter sound (as quite as it is) and when I hear nothing it makes me think the camera wasn't powered on or wasn't ready. Im not so concerned with the subject hearing the shutter...honestly id prefer they dont.
  2. Both the M11 and M11M bodies (black models) weigh the same 450g w/o battery
  3. It's completely silent which is the issue...a sound, even a beep would be helpful. Im constantly thinking my camera wasn't ready when it uses the electronic shutter despite the fact that if I looked closer the display indicates a higher shutter speed followed by the dashes.
  4. Yes Ive tried all this. In my tests Im setting profile and immediately powering down and back up...if any changes are made by the camera then this is a problem. The camera doesn't randomly change settings. See my video above.
  5. Just to clarify. If I simply load Profile 1, I then have profile 1 displayed in Favorites Menu. I then CHANGE NOTHING, and simply turn off the camera. When I restart the camera the favorites menu no longer shows Profile 1 as active...instead it lists the default profile. If I made a settings change I would expect this behavior...but Im not making any changes, therefore Profile 1 should persist when I restart.
  6. After a restart, none of the profiles are labeled ACTIVE...but it appears the last used profile is still active and the favorites menu displays the default profile instead of the one I selected prior to shutting off the camera. I'll post a video.
  7. that would be frustrating...in my case all lenses are factory coded. I'll try rebuilding the profile from scratch.
  8. Yes, I understand this. But that's not my case. Nothing changed on camera other than power off, I can save the profile and immediately shut down the camera and it still reverts to the default profile.
  9. hmmm...I've saved the profile a dozen times and even created a 2nd profile, still doesnt stick.
