Nice shot and use of available light.  What camera and lens?

Really not sure about any of these images. This second one I like but dunno why. And I can’t get a good black and white conversion. Stared at it long enough will let you lot decide.

I like the top one just fine.  Good colors so no need to convert to B&W.

I like night photography and whenever I can I tend to take out my camera and walk around the streets to capture some pictures. I like lightings, there are plenty of places where they decorate their outlets and welcome people with amazing interior. I have always looked for ambient lighting and it soothes my eyes and I cannot just hold myself from taking a photo and keep that for myself. There are huge scenes that you can capture in the streets. You can capture a decorated tree with amazing lights also you can take a photo of a burger shop from a distance which is stranded and is very less crowded. There are plenty of things that you can take photos of, just use your imaginations.

I think your sadness came from what you remember because I don't see it in the photos.  The mood is dark but I don't see much that says your city is dying.  A few people have posted shots with the same theme and the ones that work usually show decay -- crumbling buildings, closed shops, abandoned factories, boarded windows, etc.  Just my 2 cents.

Thx a lot for your reply!

You may be right, this day I was sad and I may have convinced myself that my photos were sad, the B&W rendering is not enough obviously!
Cheers

Pandemic Glasgow, last week in the fog. Nobody around, no cars, everything closed. A wasteland.

The brutalist building at the top of the street is Kentigern House, a Ministry Of Defence building. It was built at the height of the IRA bombing campaign on the UK mainland. The windows are recessed, and the walls sloped partly to deflect the blast from car and truck bombs. It's a building literally shaped by politics.

That is empty, so close to the city centre shops and yet looks, as you said, a wasteland.

Thank you for sharing, as always your work creates emotion in me, my home town.
