  1. I will return to reading feedback after more people have used the camera for a longer period and there is more fact and less opinion.
  2. I think someone will be in trouble. Release date is tomorrow
  3. Mine arrived today. It and a Q2 will go to Kuala Lumpur at the weekend.
  4. Wow! I love this series. 5 good photos from one shoot makes me envious. +1 to your use of light, shadow and exposure. Lily is a lovely model and each of these is a great shot. Posted individually, a few of them would easily make the gallery. Third photo is my favourite, but First photo is very close to being a favourite, except for the shadow on her leg and light on the muscle makes it look weird (sorry). Like Olaf, I also think a crop would make it better, but I think a square format. .
  5. The SL (601) remains my favourite camera and I have no wish to upgrade to SL2 nor SL3 when it comes out. Welcome to the forum and look forward to your photos. Hopefully you have them already.
  6. For this type of event, I wish I was 1.9m tall but when flying economy, I am glad to be only 1.78m tall Lovely photos. The flames going through the tunnel really capture the spirit of the event.
  7. On Monday or Tuesday? Sorry to have missed you ... Thomas was also here from Bonn on sunday and Monday. He drove back today. I will go again tomorrow evening. Wettsteinbrücke is my usual hangout place as I used to live in the quartier and meet old neighbours.
  8. We met up and had a great dinner last night, followed by walking around all the lanterns in the cathedral square which were lit up. Artwork on them was fabulous. I am sure Thomas and I will post some photos here and elsewhere of the events on Sunday and yesterday.
  9. So far we have 5 of us for dinner; 2 are non-photographers and non-male. So there will be company for Regina if she wishes to attend ... and one of those people speaks Basel-Deutsch.
  10. Is the first one fully overexposed or not exposed at all?
  11. I had the same - a LHSA black paint M6 with 0.85 viewfinder but I loved looking at it more than using it. Then I had the incredibly stupid idea to sell it. Now I miss it and it has increased in price drastically since my stupidity.
  12. @Ted99 so sorry to hear you are ill. Speedy recovery and enjoy those waitresses and nurses @pop sorry I forgot to mention you, but I thought with the crutches you wouldn't want to come photographing and then forgot how much you love good food. So yes you are welcome to join us. Monday 19 Feb at 7pm. Just pinging a few who expressed interest or who came last year:- @didier @MRJohn @duskembrace @keeping_a_balance Monday 19 Feb, at 7pm. Royal Indian Palace, Spalenring 160, 4055 Basel.
  13. All short notice as until today, I was supposed to fly off for a meeting in Asia on the 18th, but that is postponed so as Thomas was interested to come and we had such a good dinner last year, I thought I would post an invitation. Hopefully next year then.
  14. Just tried it on a tablet and it worked. Thank you for the hint. PS. Couldn't find the box on the iPhone to change currency
  15. Who would like to attend dinner at the Royal Indian Palace, Spalenring 160, 4055 Basel. Nancy, Tom and I will be there and I shall reserve a table for at least 6 people.
