The film 'Finding Vivian Maier' is well worth seeing in its entirety. I was also at an exhibition of photos by Maier at last year's London Photo Festival in Somerset House which included works not seen in the film. Her work was even more impressive 'in the flesh'. There is a lesson in there for all photograp

Not sure if it is well known in the forum but I was saddened to recently read that Andy (MPerson), active in this thread and the forum for many years, died earlier this year. I for one enjoyed his many contributions here and his work from "Metroland" and, latterly, Dungeness.

Willy Ronis, Eduard Boubat & Robert Doisneau

Certainly they're three of my favourites. I love the French humanist style. People focus too much on Doisneau's 'Kiss', he's got a huge body of excellent photography behind him. Boubat I came across by accident while speaking to another French photographer whose name I forget,

Also add Don McCullin, HCB, Salgado,

Marc Riboud; Renee Burri (especially his book, THE ITALIANS -- wonderful); Herbert List; Ferdinando Scianna (even his 'fashion reportage'!); early Constantine Manos (THE BOSTONIANS; GREEK PORTFOLIO); Nikos Economopulous (especially IN THE BALKANS); David Douglas Duncan (any and all of his Picasso pictures)... And the list goes on, as another has said...
