I just went to Nangyuan Island (Thailand) and brought my Leica SL + Voightlander 35 mm f1.2 III

I'm not sure about the F setting I hope it's not F1.2 shooting :P

Elsewhere in the forum various people commented they like "Mandler lenses on digital and Karbe lenses on film".  A couple of images taken with a Summicron-R 50 (II) which certainly shines on the SL.  Slight crop in Capture One.  The Wood Pigeon was laughing about the terrible haircut applied to the tree in the second image.

Play Ball!

Albeit about 30 years since my "glory days", it's time for my 7 year old grandson to start baseball. My new glove, some oil, and a baseball to throw around!

SL and Sigma 45 2.8.  (For those who own this lens, firmware version 1.3 is now available).

Don’t shoot me, but there was a time I used to kid American friends by calling baseball ‘Cricket for flunkies’ (I grew up in India, which probably explains it all).  Over the years I have come to appreciate it a lot more.

Of course, it’s not cricket, but ...;-)

I'm chuckling, Vikas!

(Hoping my back holds up and my shoulder. Should be interesting. I can tell you the "breaking in" my glove brings back a flood of memories).

Hope you're well. Regards, Rob

I have a very active Grandaughter who comes over to our half of the two family bubble a few times a week but she’s not yer old enough to be interested in baseball or cricket.  But it takes all the energy I can muster to keep up with her three year old imagination!
