Shapes of Land  (Super - Elmar - M 1:3.4/21)

They say that where I live there are endless blue skies and that the sky is very "high" (high up) compared to other locales. I don't dislike looking at our skies however I feel they they present issues when processing images. They are too blue. I want to disguise and change them using selective colouring, hue or saturation adjustments, colour balance or even channel mixer. I have even used sky replacement once. This is meant to be a simple image showing shapes texture and colours of outback Australia. 27°7'49.18" S 117°43'19.69" E

Many years ago I had the privilege of visiting this part of Australia:  Cue, Big Bell, Weld Range, Wilgie Mia.  I am not sure if you are allowed into Wilgie Mia any more since ownership was restored to its original custodians.  It is an extraordinary place.

Some images dating from the 1980s at https://www.johnrobinson.org.uk/wilgie-mia/index.html .  No trouble with too much blue in images taken at "magic hour" around sunset.

Great images John, I love the one high up showing the deep ochre colours of the rock peak. Very nice indeed. Im not sure I read something about the limited access to Wilgie Mia area recently. I will find out on the next trip. Cheers, Ken

Train Art - Mineral Resources train from Mount Walton powering into the suburbs. Since the price of iron ore has gone up they have increased production and some relatively closer mines haul the iron ore to port near Perth WA for shipping. Shot with Apo M Summicron 50.
