It's been pointed out to me that you can access your old images by clicking on the triangle next to your name and clicking 'attachments' - as I result I've been able to locate some old images that I thought were lost forever - thanks Pete (farnz) for pointing this out !! This lead me to thinking that it would be nice if we built a record of previous One Challenges, so that they could be easily accessed by forum members, for fun and historic interest I've begun this tread for the Paris 2006 One Challenge and perhaps we might build separate threads for the other challenges So, if you have images from the Paris 2006, why not post them here..!!

Just trying a different way of copying pictures to post on the forum. Normally I would switch on my old desktop computer which is connected to my old scanner and scan a darkroom print. Then transfer the copied picture to my newer laptop, which is connected to the internet unlike the old desktop. Then I can post it. with these pictures I have just re-photographed the print on the I pad I am posting them from. I think the results are ok for viewing here? The I pad picture files are a bit too big to load up three together. Paris in the mid 1970’s. Leica M3 with 35mm Summaron.

Because of the covid-19 lockdown I am unable to go out on to the streets to photograph, not that there are any people around. I am therefore still working through my archives, and came across this image from Paris in 2002. Taken with a Leica M6, 50mm Summicron f2 and using Kodak T400CN film (which I used to love!). I hope you like it. I have also been revamping my web site using Adobe Portfolio, which is part of the Lightroom/Photoshop package, and like the results so far, although it is a work in progress. Take a look here Gerry

Paris has always been a special place for street photography for me and, although I haven't been there for far too long, I try and emulate the work of its' great photographers such as HC-B, Robert Doisneau and (dare I say) Peter Turnley. For me it is like fishing on a great trout stream in that you are always bound to have a good catch. This was taken in 2000 using my M6 and Kodak T-Max 400 film home processed. I think it was with the 50mm Summicron lens, although I can't be 100% sure. Gerry

From my 'Paris' portfolio. Taken on an M6 using Kodak T400CN film commercially processed. I am sorry but all lens details have been lost, but probably a 50mm Summicron f2. Gerry

Hi there, I am new to this forum as I recently purchased a used Leica Q2. Si finally also found a way into this forum Are you guys in the favour of seeing a single pic per post, or a series rather than a single picture? Would be intersted in your favourite way of looking at pictures. Any constructive critisim is mostly welcome.

I have struggled with his image for a long time (I actually took it in 1997) mainly because I shot it on Agfa Vista 800 colour films nd the train after scanning was horrendous. I have now had another go using Dfine 2 to try and calm the grain down, and have produced this which I am reasonably pleased with. Taken with a Leica M6 using available light only in the Louvre in Paris. Sorry, no other details are available. Gerry

I am still editing images taken on my visits to Paris. This is the latest to be chosen. Taken on Tri-X in 1999 using an M6 with a 50mm Summicron f2 lens. You can see my 'Streets of Paris' portfolio at https://gwpics.myportfolio.com/the-streets-of-paris I am hoping to get a book together in the relatively near future, so comments are welcome. Gerry
