On monday when coming home from my work the sky changed into a promising foreboding glow. I grabbed my stuff in haste, snatched a sturdy tripod, snatched my raincovers and when I sat in the car it started raining. As I reached my location it seemed as if the major downpour happened somewhere else. In front of my eyes there unfolded a spectacular light and cloud formstion. I could not run for a better vantage point because light changed very quickly. Canon 5 D MKII with R Elmarit 28 mm and Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron. The colors were as such, processed from RAW the files only underwent a small correction in contrast and came out of the camera in these incredible colors. I used a GND filter for the Elmarit which gave me about 3 f-stops freedom for exposure. EM 5, Nocticron, 4 pictures pano

When the weather had been too nasty during the week at least that saturday evening showed up with a lush blue hour. This pub usually has its late evening guests enjoying their draught after a busy week. Leica Q: 2.8 - 1/125 - ISO 5000

Yesterday evening had a promising light. I saw one big cloud towering over the city and sunshine should provide an interesting evening glow. So I snatched my Leica Q. All shades of blue, magenta and green could be captured and all shadows could be opened: amazing and a pleasure to shoot with.

whenever I have a new lens I have to go with it my usual walk to our local fort and see how it will see the familiar view. This time R Summicron 50 mm on my MKII. And it was the first attempt to capture the fading light situation. The series is showing my city this one was being handheld, because I thought day was done but then I had to be quick and not time to unpack the tripod again

it was one last warm late autumn evening and it was almost dark. So I did a longtime exposure of about 15 secs. Since there was a slight breeze you will notice swaying branches and their blurr. But this is part of the message. Mounted was the R Summircon 50 mm on Canon 5D MKII.
