  1. these days it is snowing almost continuously. But then, preparing everthing for a wet adventure one can discover little surprises full of hope. Inspite of coldness and snow there is a big bush full of blossoms in our neighbourhood. These shots were being done as usual with my Canon 5DMKII mounted with Elmarit Macro 60 mm + APO Converter 2x
  2. these were all from our garden. I was looking for sign of spring. We are all being kept waiting. Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit R 60 mm macro
  3. all these hills here are clad in different shades of green. This is showing a typical local landscape with agriculture, and the new kind of trees in the backdrop. Leica X1
  4. Olympus OMD EM5 with Elmarit R 90 mm
  5. nature is changing every day and only weekends are free for new discoveries. This time our trip lead us to explore our neighbourhood landscape. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 28 mm, polarizer, ND graded filter. I found this combination is ideal and provides more contrast and helps controlling the bright sky and easier exposure on the landscape.
  6. these days are rih in color and vivid sky panoramas. Our landscape here is slightly hilly, scattered houses and buildings are often spoiling the view. So we always try to find places with calm and undisturbed vantage points. Contrast were high so I tried a series in b&w Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 28 mm Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 28 mm Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 28 mm, polarizer, ND graded filter X1 X1
  7. we've had a couple of warm days and nature leapt forward to unfold its beauty. I am trying to capture the feeling when you discover everywhere something new. Canon 5 D MKII with R Elmarit 28 mm + polarisation filter + ND graded filter

  9. Spring is definitely coming!
  10. Hi Guys, While the Northern Hemisphere goes into Winter, down here in the South have Spring. Here is an image of a Day Lilly. It only flowers 1 day, then falls off. 90mm Macro-Elmar-M mounted on a NEX-5. 1/1250 Sec, f/5.6, ISO 200. Thank you for looking. All comments welcome. Andreas

  12. Can I please get some advice / guidance on an issue. I recently bought an m4p 1 week ago. The first roll was a brand bought caninister and loaded using the quick loading technique (guide end into tulip, put bottom plate on and good to go). The second roll was a home bulk load affair. I think I didnt have a clean cut on the end of the roll, so when I loaded into the tulip, it has 'snagged' on the spring in the centre. I had to take the roll out as after taking 2 shots I noticed that the film wasnt feeding correctly. The problem was that as i pulled the film out of the m4p, is stretched the spring. So now that I am trying to load film, the spring doesnt allow the film to sit in the tulip and load onto the sprockets. (see bottom left hand corner of photo 1. Photo 2 shows that if a lend the end of the film to sit outisde of the tulip, the film loads, so no faults with the sporkets or loading mechanism Photos 3 shows a work around where i cut away half the width of the end of the roll, so it feeds into the tulip above the spring, whilst this does work, its not a long term solution. Does anyone have any ideas how to re-set the spring?? looking down inside the centre coloumn of the tulip, I can see a screw, but Im loathed to start exploring a fix. I have googled Leica M4p repair manual, but havent found anything. Any advice would be kindly received.

  15. Lupines are blanketing the areas around Folsom Lake. Here are a few images from a morning visit. All pics/panoramas taken with TL2/18-56 mm combo. It was frustrating to watch people trample wildflowers for their dumb selfies and/or kid portraits as well as 'professional' photogs doing model shoots and dragging all their gear on the flowers.

  18. Yesterday evening had a promising light. I saw one big cloud towering over the city and sunshine should provide an interesting evening glow. So I snatched my Leica Q. All shades of blue, magenta and green could be captured and all shadows could be opened: amazing and a pleasure to shoot with.
