We have a really annoying telegraph pole in one corner of our garden which has always looked a bit scruffy.  This year my husband planted runner beans all around it and at the base popped in a few left over tomato plants - they have been a joy to discover.  CL + 55-135TL

Hey, Leica!! Look what your 55-135mm can do with an Olive Backed Sunbird at 135mm!  Just imagine what incredible shots CL photographers could get with a stabilized 135-400mm APS-C lens. **hint, hint**

Well that's just fab!  Is this cropped or did you manage to get that close.  No one wishes more than me that Leica would listen to that plea for the 135-400, or 200-400 - whatever, just something longer and if possible stabilised please.

Cropped at about 60%, but still fairly close, inside 3 meters IIRC . . . Thanks for the reminder, just added crop info to the post! :)

CL with 60mm TL . . . cropped at about 50% . . .

This lens takes the tedium out of shooting small stuff at near distances and is just plain fun to use!

(Pedants, kindly note that the word "macro" does not appear in the foregoing. No arguments, please!)
