Leica Q - the image thread

this is one of your many terrific aesthetics. this one seems to involve post-processing with a film preset. I really like those faded skies combined with sharp and saturated foregrounds. quite striking. thanks!

Thanks for kind words and you are correct about the film preset! For post-processing I use DxO PhotoLab which has a nice 'old film' preset that often works especially nice (at least to my eyes) applied to images that have have a lot of sky, water, and clouds. Having said that I feel that most of the magic is really in the Q lens. I have had a camera for a while now and still can't believe how great that lens is.

When I was wrestling with whether to spend all that money to buy a Leica and was comparing Leica photos to others on line, I kept coming back to the conclusion that, when everything is just right, Leica tells a story better than any other camera and glass. This is a great photo, with terrific composition, color, and dynamic range. Putting it altogether, it is a fantastic story (or stories). Thanks!

Thanks agan for kind words. Like you I also looked at many photos taken by users of different cameras, and that's what sold me on Leica, and specifically on the Q with it's FF and 28 FL lens features. It really is the perfect tool for both street and landscape photography which are my favorites.

My dog Alfie, late summer last year.......

I have to say once again that the quality that the Q produces so effortlessly is simply extraordinary. Despite owning M's I find that it's the Q I pick up most of the time when I just want to go out with a camera to see if anything will turn up.

By the way....a question on posting photographs.

How can you get rid of the "Attached Images" caption?

I've looked everywhere I can think of but obviously no success.

Would appreciate any clues.............

Thanks!
