Dear posters to this thread.  I've been on a business trip and at the end of it I fell ill and am only just recovering.  During these last two or three weeks whenever I needed to look at something more cheerful or just needed to feel less tired, there seemed to be anew gem waiting in this thread.  I just wanted to than everyone for the wonderful work you're showing here.  I don't know if very good photographers are being attracted to this camera of the camera makes it easy to take wonderful pictures, but something is really working well here!

Thank you for your kind words Mike. It's a privilege to live in a photogenic country such as Iceland being able to capture the fantastic colors and contrasting nature. You all guys should put a photography trip around Iceland on your bucket list.

Whilst I recognise the secret ingredient for those previous

field marshmallows, please explain the sky's vignette. Is

this a product of post production centre of the field lighting

emphasis or did the camera/lens do all the vignetting?

I almost always add vignetting to my shots. Some don't like it, I actually really love to add it in modes amounts even though one must be careful to not overdo things there as with all other variables in post processing.

I can take the odd vignette here and there but, as you say,

it should not be over-done:-) Phew, I was fearful there was

some excessive colouration in the camera/lens for which I

had to look out ...whenever my kit eventually arrives. ALSO

explains my earlier comment about your portable hole-in-the

clouds generator from the centre of image lighting variance!

You must have a lot of UV up there though?

We do indeed have very strong colours here in the sky as the air here is extremely clean and the visibility among the best, I dear to say, in the world. Also, Iceland is on the 64-66 degree North latitude all the colours here tend to very saturated and lively. Probably the UV is pretty high here as well. 

 

This is one of the first things photographers notice when they set their foot for the first time to Iceland.

I show you some pictures of this Sunday, waiting for the dawn to sleep in a cottage in the border between Spain and France, in the middle of the Pyrinees. Hope you like it.
