asmith Posted December 23, 2007 Share #22 Posted December 23, 2007 I bought an M8 and a discounted WATE as well as IR filters for all my lenses. I already ha most ot the otherlenses with my M7s and M6s. I am considering getting another M8 so as to have what I think is the ideal minimal outfi of one body with 28 'cron and one with 50 'lux. I may eventally dispose of my film cameras if I ever master my PC. Alwyn

abrewer Posted December 23, 2007 Share #26 Posted December 23, 2007 As to Leica, I replaced a couple of 35mmf2ASPH rubber lens caps for the MP that I lost at various points around this country This year for me has been one of focus on my digital gear (Canon): a Tamron 28-75f2.8 ASPH and a long-awaited 70-200f2.8 L lenses for my 300D body I still need to buy a 28mmf2ASPH from Leica, and I'd like to upgrade to a 5D body someday Thanks Allan

Printmaker Posted December 23, 2007 Share #28 Posted December 23, 2007 Oh, my M8 and its companions - 35/2 Summicron (IV), 90/2.8 Elmarit M. Does my Zeiss 21/2.8 Biogon count? Of course 2007 was not as expensive as 2006 when I had to replace my PhaseOne scanback with a BetterLight/NorthLight copy setup. That cost $25,000 just because Apple no longer supported SCSI in their OS. That expenditure sure made it easy to get a mere $8,500 past my wife who is also my business's accountant. pvsrv Posted December 24, 2007 Share #32 Posted December 24, 2007 50 mm summicron and a CV 75 mm. Rather modest when compared to many of the above lists. I am thrilled with the results with the Summicron. I've only had the 75 for a few weeks and really haven't used it as much as I thought I would. I do plan on using it Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for candids of my family. Should be a good test! Merry Christmas everyone!

leitz_not_leica Posted December 24, 2007 Share #40 Posted December 24, 2007 2007, CLA'd M2 2008, Nothing planned unless the prices of gear is cheaper in Qatar, where I'm due to spend the year, than in the US, considering the the weak Dollar.
