That depends whether you are at shot 1 or 36 - the diameter of the reel changes...

So let's assume the diameter on the reel is 10mm, then wind the film back one revolution, it consequently saves you 31,4mm of film, almost one shot. If you repeat this frequently it saves you a lot of money 😀

The IIIf has a (during exposing) rotating time wheel. Is it possible to cock the shutter again by rotating the wheel backwards? Double exposure so to say. I have a IIIf, but I don't remember, if I have ever tried this.

I would say just guess, depending on how important you think the last frame you intentionally shot was, and how important the next intentional frame could be. If in doubt go to Las Vegas and play the wheels to discover if you are lucky, or not.

      Hello everyone,
I have a question about the dimensions of the Leica 11310 lens with the (square) hood mounted, I think the model is 12524 and/or 12526.
Currently, I use a Biogon 2/35 which I love but sometimes I find the lens protrusion from camera body quite long. The lens alone protrudes 1.75" from the camera body; with the UV filter and hood mounted, it protrudes to 2.4375" (7/16) from the camera body which is fine in some situations but unwieldy in others. The hood and UV filter are used to protect from bumps.
I had the chance to mount an 11310 to my camera which seems to protrude about an inch from the body but at the time the vendor did not have the hood so I had no way of even guesstimating where it would end up.
Can anyone who has this lens + hood combo provide a measurement?

      Hello everyone!
I'm new to the leica film cameras but I came up a rather very nice iiif in great condition which comes with a summarit 50mm f1.5 going for about $550. This sounded like a pretty good deal to me, however, upon closer inspection the lens seemed to have a lot of haze (not sure about fungus) as when I performed the light test there were specks everywhere. It seemed to be internal and in the second glass?? Not sure how to fix it or if I even can, also the focus ring was pretty stiff (but that isn't a deal breaker or anything). Like I said, the body of the camera was in very good condition however the lens is my biggest concern. As most of you are owners/experts and such please help me out and let me know if this is a good deal or not.
      Thanks, Ashley
