Who said you cannot photograph birds with an M9 and a 35/Lux ?

in 2011 by a very cold day of winter I was sitting with my family on a bench of the Madison Square Park, the park facing the Flatiron Building, downtown Manhattan. I am looking around to take pictures and I see a bird. Guess what, this bird was Pale Male. At this time this bird was very famous in Manhattan because he was nesting on 927 With Av, in the Upper East Sise, and residents hated it. For a full story of the bird search "Pale Male" in wiki. What is not said is that this bird likely died from poisoned food (poisoned pigeons that were supposed to be eaten by rats in Central Park). I spent countless hours in freezing cold in Central Park facing the nest with Nikon, big lenses, .. but this guy was very elusive and I was never able to get a good photo.
