mole73 Posted October 19, 2020 Share #4261 Posted October 19, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) As you said, each to his/her own 😉 I had the chance to fondle screwmount models in black paint and I think Leica did a great job in the finish of the black paint for the MP. It has the same great shiny look of her older sisters. Grey paint is a variant I‘ve never seen in reality. Could you post a picture in the screwmount area? Thanks! Thanks! Robert Only some IIIc during the war were finished in grey, I will try to dig out a picture and post it. They are mostly pretty worn now but still very attractive.

250swb Posted October 31, 2020 Share #4269 Posted October 31, 2020 If they are going to fake wear why can't they at least look at photographs of old BP M2's and M3's for reference? That's just dumb.
andybarton Posted October 31, 2020 Share #4270 Posted October 31, 2020 No camera would ever wear like that naturally. My old black paint MP 0.58, that I had for about 5 years before selling it to a good friend, was wearing only on the end of the wind on lever and around the right hand edges of the top plate. Nowhere else.
Paulus Posted October 31, 2020 Share #4271 Posted October 31, 2020 (edited) I cannot imagine anyone taking a piece of sandpaper and mutilates a perfectly good as it gets camera. My MP's did not show any wear at all. The oldest is from 2004. Only a single little dent from falling into the bricks. Welcome, dear visitor! Explore More Posted November 18, 2020 Share #4274 Posted November 18, 2020 Hi I just ordered my dream film camera, an MP in silver with a matching Leicavit. I was wondering if the Leica leather case (nr 14856) made for this combo fits a 35 Summicron? Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted November 18, 2020 Share #4275 Posted November 18, 2020 Summicrons 35 are among the more compact lenses - it should fit well. The only question is whether the case would manage the hood.

cornedeweert.nl Posted December 17, 2020 Share #4277 Posted December 17, 2020 Just got my new Leica MP from Leicastore Amsterdam! It feels very smooth, very new, very nice. Happy as a dog with 7 d*cks, as we say in Holland. Just put my first roll trough it, can't wait for the results. Welcome, dear visitor! I read that since august 2020 Leica changed the sharkskin cladding for a more traditional leatherette...my silver MP is on order so hoping for that... My MP (built in February 2019) and delivered with the sharkskin leatherette was repaired in the Wetzlar factory because of a burned hole in the shutter curtain. Before repair Leica informed me that they had to cover the body shell with the new leatherette. First I was a bit disappointed because I liked the sharkskin. After repair I‘m more than happy with the new covering. It looks and ferls much nicer than before. No more air bubbles... 😉
