Given the two photos here are shown with the same width (in the forum post), the flowers look about the same size. Actually, the one above is smaller (download the photos and you can check them out yourself) and is shot with the Leica Q2 in macro mode. The horizontal photo (the one below) is shot with the Leica Q2 in macro mode, PLUS a stacked on Elpro 52 (+7 diopter, or 2.75x). 

This is shot with Leica Q2 in macro mode + Leica's Elpro 52.

Adding the Elpro 52 to the Q2 in macro mode also gave the image a much stronger falloff and bokeh: can be too soft in some cases...
