More information and booking details are available on the Leica Mayfair store website: https://www.leica-storemayfair.co.uk/collections/akademie-workshops/products/model-in-the-landscape-a-black-and-white-workshop-with-by-arteh-odjidja
  2. We're happy to announce that we'll be hosting a monthly social meet up and photo walk, named Bristol Leica Social. The first meeting will be on April 1st, 2017, and on the first Saturday of every month thereafter. We'll be meeting at the store on Baldwin St (3 alliance house, Baldwin St, BS1 1SA) at 9am. We'll be heading out from the store in self picked groups to take images around the centre, aiming to meet at a café at 12 noon to compare images and discuss all things Leica. The shop will be open as usual, and we will be here as usual to have a chat or demo any items (depending on stock availability) There is no cost to attend, but attendees are encouraged to bring money for any refreshments required as you walk around. Leica users of all kinds are welcome, and so are those who don't own a Leica but wish to learn more about the brand and the beautiful products that they offer. For current updates and more information, we have an event page on our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lcebristol/.

  9. Hello! We are offering a free 1 hour tutorial session on the Leica M-Monochrom (typ 246), here at our store in Bristol, on Baldwin Street. The session will be a great opportunity to get to know the Monochrom if you haven't had a chance to use it yet, and as long as the weather permits us, give you some time to use it around the harbour side with our resident Leica expert Tom Greetham. Those who attend our free tutorial session will get the chance to partake in some exclusive Leica offers as well! We are pretty flexible regarding dates and times for this session, so please let us know if you're interested and we can try to find a time that suits you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! If you wish to book a place on the course, please email bristol@lcegroup.co.uk or call 0117 9291935. We look forward to seeing you there. Lucan
  10. Thank you Terry, have replied by email with more details (but let me know if it doesn't arrive). Look forward to seeing you at photo walk. Tom
  11. That's great, I'll put you on the list. Just let me know if anything comes up. This day has a slightly different twist to it and is in a (I think) better location. Let me know if you need anymore info. Tom
  12. Hello, We are running another Leica adademie based photowalk on the 30th of January 2016 in the centre of Bristol. Robin Sinha, from the Leica Academie Mayfair will join us and provide a valuable insight into the Leica M system. This practical day will teach you how to get the best from a rangefinder camera and take classic "decisive moment" photography that Leica is renowned for. the day will start at 10.30am, there will be a Leica M body and lens for each attendee to try (as well as X and T system) and will consist of the following: 10.30am – 11.00am – Robin Sinha will introduce you to his work with a short talk using his own images to demonstrate Leica Photography. 11.00am - 11.30am - Review and mini-critique of attendees images (attendees are asked to bring 4 images on a USB stick that represent their photography) 11.30am - 12.30pm Familiarisation with the Leica camera range prior to photowalk. 12.30pm – 1.00pm – Lunch break 1.00pm – 2.30pm – Photowalk around Bristol using the Leica cameras provided 2.30pm onwards – Back to the studio for image review and critique. 4pm approx - finish The location will be a bit different to the last one, probably based around the temple meads/temple quay area so right next to the main train station. If you wish to book a place on the course, please email bristol@lcegroup.co.uk or call 0117 9291935. Please let me know if you have any queries and look forward to seeing you there. Tom
  13. Thank you! I really enjoyed it. It was really good to meet you all and very impressed with your street shooting skills. I will try and arrange another get together at some point in the future. Thanks again Tom
  14. To those attending the street photography workshop tomorrow, really looking forward to seeing you all. Our plan is to work around the weather. We may rejig the day so that we are running the indoor session of the day in the morning and then go out in the afternoon when the weather has calmed down a bit. Please meet at the Bristol Hotel (postcode BS1 4QF) and we'll see what the weather is doing, if dry we'll head out first thing. I have planned a route that contains quite a bit of covered area, so we should be shielded from the worst of the weather. The forecast says it is supposed to be raining in Bristol right now and we have a dry day so we'll see what tomorrow brings! Many thanks, Tom
