Getting familiar with my new Q2 on a subject I've posted in other threads- M10 and XVario.  As the world turns and shifts on its axis, the sun is finding its way south, soon to be rising behind Tahoma, aka Mt. Rainier.

Some Aspen trees at Conway Summit just off 395 in Colorado.  I just thought this one would look better in B&W than color.  Developed in Lightroom 6. I am loving this camera with two exceptions.  Battery life is pretty bad.  I need to figure out how to set it up to use less juice.  I am sure somewhere in this forum there are hints.

And the viewfinder, as good as it is, is worthless in daylight.  I cannot see much difference if any when I rotate the polarizing filter.  I love the viewfinder indoors and under lesser light, but in the sun, forget it.  I still love optical viewfinders like in my R8 and even my Nikon D750, as long as I don't have to manual focus anything on that thing.  Nothing beats the R8 viewfinder.

Hope you like my B&W attempt.  I am not at home so am working on my laptop which doesn't have the greatest monitor.  I may post the color one later.

Whoa!!!  That turned out darker and less contrasty than it is on my laptop.  Sorry.

Playing with my new IR filter. OK up to ISO 3200 but ISO 800 seems to be the sweet spot.

Wonderful, and gets me thinking of trying.  Can you tell me what filter you are using?   Thanks.

OK.  I just found it on one of your other photos.  Great Work.  Thanks.

Picture after C1 und PS 🤫

Hi Snoopy, Are they both the same image? The trees on the right are perspectively correct (to the extentent shown) in the post image which does not look feasible from picture ooc unless you cropped it while uploading.

No, it's the same picture... OOC

The image was converted with C1 and the wide angle enlarged again.

I really messed up with the exposure on this one and overexposed by a mile.  So I played around in Lightroom and like the final results.  Taken at Sugarbush Farm in VT.

Silver Falls State Park outside Salam Oregon is an amazing place.  10 waterfalls on an 8 mile round trip hike, 4 of which you can walk behind.  The large Beachie Fire as burned right up to it, but so far the park is mostly untouched.  Some smoke, so the colors are slightly surreal as you hike around. And it has been very dry so lots of leaves are just turning brown and falling off, but it was a good place for my first out of town outing with my Q2.

nice, but may be better if you crop out most of the foreground?

Like this? In the original I was trying to keep the small shack on the right in the pic.

On a recent visit to southern Wyoming, I captured this image of the Spirit West River Lodge in Encampment. Leica Q2, 8 sec, ISO 400, f/1.7, on tripod of course. Post processed in LR.
