  1. Am I the only one who cannot bear listening to this irritating voice for 1 hr 18 minutes? There has to be a better way of learning... 😀 David
  2. My fear with this method is the abrasion of the thread in the case of the ring turning 120° clockwise. David
  3. I have looked through the manual several times in vain for a way of re-centering the image in review mode, as one can centre an AF frame with a double tap.. But in vain. What I mean is that, when I have reviewed the magnified edges of a photo, there is no simple way of resetting things so that the magnified portion is in the centre for the next image. I hope I have missed something here and it can be done... If not, it would be an excellent trick to add to the repertoire. David
  4. As a Q3 user, I am constantly impressed by the stunning results users obtain from the Q2. This is an excellent example. The Chicago winter light is magnificent. Thanks! David
  5. I use the Peak Design cuff, attached to the JJC HG-Q3 hand grip. Attaching the cuff to the bottom of the camera is not as disadvantageous it may seem: I find it very comfortable -- and no tooth floss is required. A lousy snap: David
  6. Most cameras, like my Canon, label the switch on and off. But, if you think about, that is overkill: if it is not pointing to on it has to be off, and vice versa. With Q3, you just need to remember that the red dot means off. Or would you prefer a green dot instead, to mean on? David
  7. I agree with your conclusion, particularly if after the discharge it was not necessary to reset the time and date. David
  8. From what I have seen here the OP photographs mostly inanimate objects, like food, watches, and camera bags and accessories.
  9. The moom amd Jupiter above the Karlskirche, Vienna, this evening. David
  10. The intention of this shot (cropped from original), was a snap to record the time on the clock. So I just pointed it in the rough direction, not taking care about the verticals. The distant view along the tracks is quite over-exposed. I subsequently played around with it in PhotoLab6, reducing the exposure by 2.23EV and straightening it up. Further adjustments brought out the darker tones, with this result: apart from the lack of focus on the tower, I was amazed at the result (1:1 crop, size only 1532 x 1028). David
