I haven't used my M8 for a while but having produced the 2 photos above, I'm now convinced that B&W from the M8 is much better than from my M-P 240. Both of the above were at 640 ISO.

 

The tonal range seems better and there is almost a hint of Monochrom 1 in the images. Or am I deluding myself?

@ colint544: strong series, love all of them. Great way to frame, composition is excellent.

PS: it must have been very cold and windy...my wife had not allowed me to go out to photograph in similar situation :)  and you managed all very well, I'm impressed !
