Just click on his picture above to see the new full-size version.

I'd like to see the difference between before and after the increased picture size allowance, which would require the picture to be viewable at 1200 px instead of the 2480 px that Ernst posted, Andy.

No big thing, just something of interest.

Pete.

Click on the photo, then you get a  better resolution of 2480 px of the long side - our new upload function in the LUF!

Hi Ernst,

Sorry to be a nuisance but is there any chance that you could repost the same picture at the old picture limit so we can see the difference please?🙂

Pete.

I doubt you will see much difference, but here is an upload with 1280 px and 500 kB.

Regarding the new, increased size: On my retina screen the thread version still looks pretty fuzzy, because it is upscaled from 1092 px, but it looks much better in the lightbox (2480 px).

Thanks Ernst, and I agree that I don't see much difference but it's an interesting comparison in many ways so I'm much obliged for your posting it.

We shall have to buy new hardware, I fear.:P

If “hardware” means lenses, I know exactly what you mean. In November, I added an Elmarit-M 28mm 3rd version, and, this month, I acquired my second Summicron-M 50mm, version IV. Yes, my second copy, because, well, sometimes I will use an M10 and a Monochrom 246 at the same time.

No, I meant new monitors. I have a 15" MacBook and no separate monitor. Sometimes (FM forum f.e.) my display already is too small now.

Well, as a pixel peeper you see a huge difference when you enlarge the 2 pictures: Look at the patern of the person's dress on her back.

I meant that I didn't see much difference between 1280 and 2480 px as posted in the thread.

Hi Pete, I just clicked onto the 2 posted pictures and found that when enlarging (I am sitting here with an iPad on my lap) with 2 fingers then the difference is here. Well, that might not be so important as it is typically pixel peeping.
