Paul, welcome to the forum. A striking first picture of a subject which cries out for more exploration. Did you try any other angles? Or focal lengths?

Thanks a lot! Very kind and warm welcome @wda😊

indeed I tried to frame the building a little more with going vertical and put some more flowers in the foreground. I took that shot in springtime 2021, the 35mil Nokton was my online lens back then. So no other focal lengths. Maybe I need to come back there next year and bring my 35lux and 50lux. 🤔

Nice composition, but what did you focus on? Parts of the rainpipe seem to be sharp, but not the central part of the image. What aperture did you use (I'm curious because I also own that lens)?

Thank you, @PhoToad😊! At that time I was still learning how to use the rangefinder system, especially the manual focusing. I think I went fully open to 1.4 for that shot, because I wanted to blurr out the flowers. Focus point is the edge of the building, I guess. Should have been the flowers in the center, though. 😅

Your reference to Springtime suggested thar the flowers were your intended subject. In fact you have focusdd vuewers' eyes on the angularity of the building. No harm done. Now we understand your motive.
