Here, the name for them is "fusca" which is apparently a corruption of the German pronunciation for Volkswagen. They were making them here until the 90s, so still many on the roads. A little later I'll post a Google street view link of a certain street in Pirenópolis. It's impressive just how many fuscas you can see. In the meantime:
